Hi all -

Today we booked our first stay at Beach Club (woo hoo! :woohoo:) We didn't make any certain request for an area or anything like that on our reservation, mostly because we've not stayed there before and aren't aware of any "preferred" spots.

Not trying to take anyone's favorite or secret places :goodvibes but just wanted to know of your favorite or preferred rooms / areas at Beach Club.

Thanks in advance!! Have a great night!

Just want to clarify that you are asking about Beach Club VILLAS, since you're on the DVC board and not the Beach Club RESORT? Because they are 2 different buildings, so wanted to make sure you were asking what I thought you were asking!

Oops - thanks for asking! I do mean Beach Club Villas - thank you!!

I have two favorite areas. Both are woods view, but the first is the sharp left as you get off the elevators. It's got great views of Illuminations and the Eifel tower of France. Also, it's fairly convenient for the laundry (if on the 4th floor) and the elevators. But it's not nearly as quiet as my other favorite-the woods view rooms that you reach in the right-hand "jog" you get to by taking a right off the elevators. Those rooms are so peaceful. Not as good views of Illuminations, though, so it's a toss-up.

We like rooms looking over the pool, preferably a few floors up. We've been lucky to get our request all 3x we stayed there - 3rd floor, pool view.

Here's a site with maps and views: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/
If you click on a room # you can see the view from the Balcony. We stayed in 1br #320 in December... close to elevator & nice view of fireworks. I simply requested a range of villa #'s.
Have fun!

I'm getting ready to book our first BCV trip and staying in a studio. Can anyone tell me where the laundry facilities are? I'd love to have an Epcot view, but being close to the laundry is important too. Are there a lot of machines? My nightmare is lugging the laundry to the laundry room, only to find that there is no machine available. :sad2:

The laundry is on the fourth floor. As you get off the elevator, it's toward the left. Last time I was there there were only 2 washers and 2 dryers. Since I also have a fear of not finding an available machine, I've always done my laundry either early in the morning, or very late at night.

Wow.....only two of each for the entire building? I think we're just going to have to pack enough not to have to wash......or buy some extra shirts while we're there if we need them.

I believe there is another Laundry facility in the BC Hotel, but you have to pay.

I was just at the BC following a cruise with my 3 teenage grand children. We were on the 3rd floor and it was no problem took the elevator up to 4th floor and the laundry room was right there . Both times I went there was no one else there. Remember it may sound like there is not enough but the one and two bedrooms have their own washer and dryers.I also think allot of people don't like to do wash while on vacation if they can help it. I only did because we had been at AKV than cruise so we had no choice. Enjoy your vacation. Beach Club is a wonderful resort. I can't wait to go back in Sept for my "Sister Trip".:goodvibes

Oh, I didn't think of that! Thanks for the reminder. I'll pack some Purex sheets just in case I decide to wash. :)

I'm pretty sure that over by the quiet pool, as your walking from Epcot, it's a separate little building, is where the laundry facilities for the hotel are. I haven't looked too closely, but yes, I'd assume they're pay.

When you walk from the Villas to Epcot using the "back way" - I'm sure you all know what I mean -- you pass the BC laundry room back door, I believe. It's up closer to the sidewalk and the little gate that heads from the main walkway to the BCV. So I believe the quiet pool is right on the other side of the building there as Simba's mom said.
