What is the preferred section for Coronado. I've looked at a few websites and I don't see a particular section noted. Is there not one?

If there is a preferred section, what is the closest to it without paying the preferred rate?

If you just want to request a section I'd go with Canbanas 9B. They're close to the Pepper Market, the bus stop and most important for my family, the dig Site. We loved that area.

Cabanas are the preferred location at CSR. A majority of these rooms are waterview and will cost the extra $10.00 rate.

Cabana 9b is the closest to everything and is the most sought after spot.

cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge.

cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b & 9a are inbetween the above cabanas.

Cabana rooms are mostly waterview rooms or non parking lot views and will be at the waterview pricing.

ranchos 7b has the quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. It is behind cabana 8a.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building.

So is it worth it to pay the extra $15 per day and ask for 9a or 9b?

Or should I just request 9a or 9b and hope I get it?

I guess what I am saying is should I pay an extra $120 for my eight day stay for a "water" view, knowing that it could be a peek view of a birdbath, or should I just make a request, hope they honor it, and spend the $120 on something else?

That's up to you. Like I said, with the new internal shuttle, rancho 7b or 6b would work too. Or you can request and hope. That is what I usually do. Any cabana room would work. $120.00 would pay for some meals.
