What are your favorite rooms at CBR? I notice on Disney website preferred and water rooms are same price and standard room is 180.00 Less (10 nights). I have never been to this resort and have no idea how the layout is. We stayed at CSR last visit and loved it but want to check out another mod this time.

You might want to check out the CBR FAQ thread. Information on the preferred locations is in the first post.

Personally I don't think water view is worth the extra money.

I did look at it. That's why I'm asking.
The water view and preferred view are same price. What is preferred about preferred location? Why is it extra $$.

Preferred location means it is near the food court and the main pool. There is nothing different about the room itself.

If you don't want to pay extra for a preferred room then many people like Jamaica or Aruba.

Thank you!!

Okay so I just checked out your CBR website (very nice btw) and I don't really want to spend the extra $$ on preferred location so I think Jamaica
would be good request. It looks like there really isn't a bad location.

CBR looks really nice and I think my kids will enjoy pool! Can't wait to see pics when it's finished.

You will love CBR!! We love the white-sand beaches, the hammocks and beach chairs, all the pools, the boat rentals on the resort's own 45-acre lake, the beautiful 1.4-mile Promenade walkway around the lake, the steel drum music overhead at Old Port Royale, the quietness of the rooms, and it is our favorite!!!:cool1:

CBR is a vacation within a vacation!! :)

Because Jamiaca and Aruba are very popular requests, it might be a good idea to have another request handy at check-in - or ask if they could show you on resort map where there are rooms available and choose a room based on that - some CM's are very helpful and other's find it a bother do this and will try to avoid it, but a guest can choose a room location this way - just be cheerfully persistant in your request. :)

Have a wonderful stay!!

We've stayed at the CBR twice and have never booked preferred or water view locations. Disney's definition of a water view can be either a view of the lake or the pool. Definitely not worth it in my book. I also don't mind a bit of walking so I don't want to pay for a preferred location. (closer to the food court).

We have stayed in Martinique and in Jamaica. I liked both locations. Each time, I asked for an upstairs courtyard view and have gotten my request. The courtyard view are so pretty. We could stand out on the walkway and see the lush landscaping and benches or tables.

The walk around the entire promenade is just 1.4 miles long and Old Port Royale is in the middle so, no matter what village you are assigned by, you are no more than half that far away.

I agree with the previous poster....the CBR is a vacation within a vacation. You get a beach/tropical vacation and a Disney vacation all rolled into one!

We stayed at Jamaica last year and loved it, its a short walk over a lovely bridge to the food court area. We had a nice view of the lake and the quiet pool - Highly suggest his area!!!
