Preferred Annual Pass vs American Express vs AAA

Regarding discounts at restaurants, is there an advantage of one card over the other? I thought that the preferred annual pass and American Express and AAA offered the same discount......10%. Is that correct? I have the list of restaurants that offer discounts using the preferred pass.......do the same restaurants offer a discount using American Express and/or AAA? I am debating whether to purchase the annual pass, if I can get the same discount, at the same restaurants if I use my Am Ex or AAA card.

The annual pass is more important for the hotel discounts. You'll get the same restaurant discounts with the AAA card. I'm not sure about AmEx discounts. For merchandise, you have to spend $50 before you get a discount with AAA.

In my experience, restaurants who give the AAA discount also give the Amex, and they are both 10%. I usually just take the Amex as I usually am paying with it anyway. But make sure you remind the server when they take your bill to pay. I asked our server at Cowfish about the discount when she brought our check but didn't mention it when she took our check back to run our credit card, and she forgot the discount, so we had to wait for her to run it again and had a double charge on our card for a couple of days.

Do all restaurants in CityWalk, US, and IOA give the same discount for American Express and Preferred Annual Passes? If so, I will buy a Power Pass (which is cheaper) and use my AmEx card to get the discount at restaurants and shops. P.S. I don't care about the blackout dates with the Power Pass
