I have a preferred annual pass that expires in 6/06 but won't be going back until 8/06. Can I renew it in August or do I have to do it before June. Also isn't it only about $100 to renew?

believe its $99 to renew. can't answer the other though as mine expires feb 06.

I just had to renew mine. It was $106?? to renew it at the gate. I didn't receive a renewal notice. I went thought the line and got to the front (10 minute line) and was told that it was expired. Poor guest communications this year. In the past they sent our renewal information.

Technically, to get the $99 renewal rate, it needs to be renewed within I believe 30 days of the expiration. Just call the 1-800 number on the back of your AP and it can be renewed over the phone. No need for a new picture or card as it is done on the computer so when you go your AP will work just fine.

I concur since I just called myself that it is 99 plus tax and has to be done within 30 days. My hubby had a preferred pass, I didn't renew his in Feb and now we are going in Nov. so I would have to buy a new pass without the discount rate of 99. I decided I am just getting him the Power Pass, but it irks me that I didn't renew his so we could get free parking, etc.

Our passes expire 9/30 and we just got our renewal reminders yesterdayn in the mail ($99 + tax for $106).

Goofy, is correct. With the $99 renewal you expiration date remains the same. If you are not planning on going for several months, it makes sense to pay for a new AP.

Isn't it worth to renew your passes if you go at least two days a year to universal since you get free parking since a two or three day ticket costs about $100. This is my reasoning. Also the fact that we can come and go anytime i.e. the day of arrival.

I agree, Buzz. Since you are going withing 2 months of your old pass expiring, the $99 would make more sense then just purchasing a new AP for the full price. Just be sure and renew within 30 days of the pass expiring to get your $99 renewal price. You can do it over the phone since you won't be there until August which is 2 months after it expires.

I have premium passes which I purchased with the flex payment plan (over 12 months), I saw somewhere that flex pay tickets cannot be renewed for $99.00. Is this true or did I not understand it correctly ? :confused3

Thanks for your help !
