Preferred annual pass/early entry blackout/onsite hotel question

I plan to buy the Preferred Pass to get the APH rate next month for just one adult. I will buy the best regular tickets for my kids. If I stay onsite will I be granted early entry into the park because I'm staying on the property? I am visiting during a blackout period for the Preferred Pass. Many thanks!!

Yes, you get EE from the hotel too. You will be good to go.

Yep I just checked and all onsite hotels include early entry. Only RPR, Portofino, and Hard Rock have unlimited express which is a great perk.

The trouble is the Preferred Pass has blackout days and I'm wondering if these blackout dates will supersede me staying onsite where I will have that privilege.

Best thing for you to do is buy regular ticket and then upgrade it as you are leaving the park for the last time on your last day.

You can still book with the APH rate...if asked for your AP when you check-in, let them know you are going to upgrade and show them the AP when you check out.

This way, you do not have to worry about blockout dates for your time there. Also, unless you plan to visit again in the summer, you may just want to upgrade to the Seasonal Pass.

You will not be blocked out if staying onsite. Your room key is what's checked doing EE.

Don't worry about your block out dates with the preferred pass for early entry. Just show your room key and you will be just fine.

Sorry, I was reading your post thinking you were talking about a Power Pass (not Preferred) and blockout dates....so, scratch my previous post.
