Predictions on Skyliner Expansion

What is the cost to build? Would you estimate the cost per mile run or a lesser distance
Unbelievable but about 1 million a mile. !!!!!!!!
It pays for its self since labor cost is low since no bus drives .

There would have to be several 'Hub' . No direct lines.

How about sometime later? Where would you like to see another skyliner route?
Gotta keep me dreaming huh? 😆 Ok, ok!

AKL-AK, AK-All Stars-CSR. I think anything that ads peace and quiet to AK would be a good thing (Skyliner definitely more quite than all those buses) and it’s sad people staying at the literal AK hotel *still* have to bus to the park.

The 7-minute bus ride has never been an issue. And even if they would do a Skyliner from the Lodge to AK, it won't change the bus situation - they'll still be running for the other parks, DS, and the water parks. A ride from AKL to AK really wouldn't add much benefit the Lodge guests on a given day.

I was very disappointed when I stayed AKL and still had to take a stupid bus.

I agree that the expansion is not coming soon but I think the skyway has been successful. I was not sure if it working.

I think a continuously-loading Skyliner leading to a short ride between AK and AKL would benefit the restaurants at AKL. Already a number of guests plan meals at Boma, Jiko and Sanaa in conjunction with visits to AK, and being able to shorten the journey (take less time away from visiting AK) would encourage more to book there. I'm sure Disney is aware of that, too.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Skyliner connections between AK, AKL, CSR and the All Stars "some day," but it could be many years from now.

I'd say there's very little economical benefit to adding the skyliner to a deluxe hotels that already have proximity to parks as a direct perk. More than likely, they'd want to add it to values and moderates to be able to upcharge on the rooms as a result.

You're probably right! I figure we have another 20 years or so of visiting regularly at AKL, so I just hope it happens after that for the site lines of AKL..... But Disney will do what Disney feels they need to do!

You may want to put a zero behind the one. Even that is on the low side.
There is an incredible infrastructure that most people don’t see to operate, maintain and run the system.
What is does have, that you mentioned, it can move a lot of people. The most efficient way to move a lot of people. A bus can carry approx. 60 people, using as a number, a lot of factors go into that. A monorail train can hold about 300 max
The skyliner can move 10 people every eight seconds continuously max.
One draw back with moving that many people, something goes down for any reason, a lot of people get stranded.
