Precious fleeting moments

We just got back from a week at the world, I wanted to share one of the most precious moments my wife and I encountered.

We had dropped our teenagers off at Disney Qwest and wanted to grab something from our room. So we headed over to the DTD bus depot. The buses were running slow and everyone was tired when ours finally arrived.

We sat down next to this couple with a small child, perhaps 3 years old. In his hands he carried a package of assorted toy dinosaurs. The mother was resting her eyes and the father was playing on his smart phone. The entire bus ride this little boy was singing quietly to himself about how much he loved his dinosaurs. He would point to each dinosaur and profess how much he loved them. He hadn't a care in the world, at that moment it was all about his love for his dinosaurs.

His song became our theme song for the rest of our trip. "...I love dinosaurs, love love dinosaurs, stomp stomp stomp..."

Something so small, so insignificant as a box of toy dinosaurs just lit up this child world. It hit home to my wife and I just how fleeting these moments are. I hope his mother or father was able to hear some of his song, take in that precious moment.

Cute story! Thanks for sharing. Kids get such a bad rap these days, so it is nice when someone notices a sweet kid.
