Hi all of you Disney officianados, I've heard that I'm going to have to pre book all of my sit down dinners for my trip in January. I know they reccommend it, but do i really have to? Thanks for any and all advice :teeth:

You don't have to as long as you're willing to take the chance that you won't be eating where you want to.

Since you're on the dining plan it's a good idea to book your table service meals so that you won't have trouble using them. We heard lots of people having left over table service credits because they didn't plan ahead.

We were just there and it wasn't all that busy and we saw people being turned away from restaurants who didn't have ADRs. January is usually slow but if there's some place you really want to eat at then I'd make the ADR's.

Definitely make ADR's if there is someplace that you definitely want to eat. If your not set on any particular place you could take your chances. I have a coworker that ended up honeymooning in WDW after her tropical destination got hit by a hurricane and because it was last minute didn't have any ADR's...she said they ended up eating alot of counter service because there were no openings at most restaurants for sit downs. January is considered slow season so you probably won't have issues but if you wanted say dinner in the castle, LeCellier, or other hot spots I would book now and you could always cancel once you got there and decided differently.

It is a really good idea because even with an ADR we had to wait for an hour for seating and we go in Jan/feb too
