We ve been looking at finalising our ceremony wording & have pretty much figured out what we want said & where we want each part to go. We ve used some parts of the "beautiful ceremony" guide sent to us from Rev Kevin but have also written parts of the ceremony ourself :thumbsup2 .

My df really wants to say a few lines to me before we say our vowels:cutie: ( for Friends fans abit like Monica & Chandler do  ). Im a little reluctant at this idea as i know i ll probably break down but hes adament this is something he would like us both to do.

I was just wondering if anyone else has also done this too before their vowels?? :confused3

I know i recently watched a sneek peek from Stans site in which a couple did this who said some really beautiful things to each other :lovestruc ,but i think this is the first vid i ve seen this done in.

We just had completely customized vows we wrote and before we went, we had our officiant read a Buddhist wedding prayer that we loved.

Most women complain that their DF doesn't contribute ideas and I think it is a nice one so I say go with it!:thumbsup2

Our vows were what we wanted to say to each other. :thumbsup2

We skipped the rote repetition of "sickness, health, etc." and just said a few words to each other about how we felt and what we promised to do to support each other and the marriage.

Don't worry about breaking down while you say it - that's part of the beauty of custom vows. It was so touching when DH choked up while saying his vows. :goodvibes

if he wants to..GO FOR IT! That is awesome!

We had a place in our ceremony where the Captain asked if we wanted to add anything, but I never would have been able to get thru that!
DH choked up on his standard vows...he lost it at "my wife and my best friend":lovestruc

Honey- I just sent you a PM with what we had in our ceremony.

I'm choking up jsut reading these replies.

I always joke I'll just need an officiant who will take a nod as 'i do', but im hoping on the day I'll be able to talk a bit as i'd love to tell jack how amazing he is and how much I love him with all of our families watching.

If you DF wants to say extra words then i think you should definitely go for it, maybe jsut keep you bit smaller incase its hard for you to talk too much! :)

Or, have order of services for your guests and write thank yous on there, or wait until the speeches and then say something to everyone there. :)

My DH asked only one thing about our vows...that he didn't have to say much!:rotfl: I promised him he would only have to say "I do" and "I will".

Still, we did make some changes to our vows to make them a little more personal. Just a line here or there but don't they say that good things come in small packages??;)

Anyway, if you and your DH2B want to do this...GO FOR IT!!

We have written our vows to include what we want to say to each other. It was funny - we each wrote them ourselves and they were virtually the same! We decided to have the same vows to each other as we wanted to say exactly the same things.

I'm sure we will alter them, and add to them, but they are really nice. They are quite short, very personal to us and perfect.

The only thing Tim didn't like in the one I wrote was about promising to love him even when he snored so loudly the cats ran for cover and I thought a truck was driving through the bedroom :rotfl:

Hi there :)

Our sneak peak is up on Stan's site under 'Megan & Daniel, Sea Breeze Point'

We did the traditional vows followed by our own vows. We wrote our own seperate vows and kept them a secret from each other until that very moment. It was amazing listening to him, and he says he felt the same listening to me. You can tell from the video that we both cried like babies during our vows...but I don't regret crying...i love it. We really cared...so dont be nervous about not getting through them!! you will. :thumbsup2
