She was fantastic. This was the highlight of our trip and worth every penny!!

We had a great lunch, lots of food choices: grilled chicken, pulled pork, roasted vegetables, chicken fingers/fries, lots of yummy deserts......very good.

Enjoyed the music while we ate lunch :goodvibes

We went over and did the lazy river, warm lagoon and laid in some lounge chairs to relax for a bit... We then went over the stingray area. This was very cool. The kids liked the snorkeling very much. Some of those stingrays are HUGE!!! I had one swim past me that must have been over 4 feet wide!!! just amazing...

when we were done with the stingrays, we took showers which were heavenly! The bathroom/shower facilties were incredible. As was the whole park! We headed over to the aviary to feed some birds. This was lots of fun too

We left DC about 5:00 pm. On our way back to our hotel we decided we wanted to try a restaurant that we had never been to before. No chain restaurants that we had in our area that we frequent regularly. We spotted a Bahama Breeze but it was packed with people waiting outside and we didn't want to wait that long.

We saw a Charlie's Steakhouse and thought we would give it a whirl. Wow were we in for a surprise!! This is rated one of the top steak houses in the US... and the prices reflect that! We got seated and saw the menu... everything is ala carte.......Just a steak was $35.00 and that was a petite cut! Well, we were underdressed and unprepared but we figured, oh well. $250 dollars later, we left bellies full and amazed how good a steak can really taste!! We had desert and our forks came in a glass of ice chilled (we had cheesecake).....Wow....

We headed over to check in to the Hard Rock Hotel!!

The HRH is beautiful. The kids really enjoyed it, they thought it was very cool, not stuffy and boring...lol.

We had a standard garden view room. The beds were very comfortable and having the Keurig coffee pot was an added bonus!

We left settle in the room and headed off to sleep :goodvibes

Would love to do the "dolphin swim" on our trip to Florida but will have to wait for next time. I am soooooo jealous.

Wow I am loving your TR!! I am just in the planning stages right now for a trip next May. We usually only do Disney but my oldest son is graduating college next year & I told him I would relent & we could do Universal, Seaworld, Discovery Cove (& 2 days at Disney). So I am enjoying your TR as you are doing it all or have done it all by now.

We are also looking at staying at HRH so this is even better!!

By the way your daughters prom dress was beautiful & she looked beautiful in it.

Question about Discovery Cove-did you bring a backpack with you with shampoo & things to shower with???
