Hello all! I have been a longtime lurker and have decided that for our upcoming trip I would love to get some insight, feedback and most of all the community spirit here at DIS!

Our trip is as follows:
September 26th through October 3rd
We are staying at Pop Century and this is our first time on property! I went to Disney for the first time in Feb '09. So this is my second trip and my partner/boyfriend/fiancee, whatever :goodvibes has been there numerous times since childhood. I love all things Disney and dreamed of going my whole life. It was wonderful to go with him for the first time. I remember watching The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast as a little girl, and wanting so badly to be a princess!!!

A little background information on us, I am 23 and am working on college. I have epilepsy that is not fully under control yet and it makes it so that I have to stay home and do classes online. No bother though, school is just as fun wearing pjs at home as going on campus! We want to celebrate my 'hopefully' getting my epilepsy under control for our trip. We live in Michigan, and raise bunnies!
DF is my rock. He is wonderful, amazing, truly an amazing person. He is 32 and works as an Environmental Engineer. He loves Disney just as much as I do, which is great because I'd hate to have to drag him around.

I have the ring, but he hasn't actually proposed. At first, I said I didn't want him to, but I've changed my mind, and have this feeling that I'm going to get the proposal in WDW!!!! Hopefully I wont pass out of embarrassment. We love our lives in our house near the lake with our little rabbits, Imogen, Ariel, Fluffylump, Alexa and Nikolai

I booked our trip through AAA and was astonished by the savings! I'd recommend booking through them anytime!

Well, I hope this is a good start. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! Everyone have a fabulous Memorial Day weekend!

P.S. I believe that a Disney Fairytale Wedding is in our future!:lovestruc:bride:

Signing on! My husband has epilepsy and it took quite a while to get his medications just right. There are a few things at Disney that "throw him off" but not much. His neurologist has prescribed a drug that he can put under his tongue which helps calm him if he starts getting what we call "the funny feeling". So, we have that if he needs it.

Hope to hear more about your plans and hopefully the proposal.

Hi! Welcome! Glad to have you aboard. I see you're going to be at the Pop Century soon, I'd love to hear all about your trip, I've never stayed on site before and am super curious! Also, glad to know there are others out there who have had epilepsy affect their lives and have become stronger people because of it!

Hello, we are going to be there at the same time. We are arriving aday later and staying a few nights longer thatn you. This is our first time onsite also however we are doing a pirate room at CBR. Can't wait to hear more.

No, never. I'm really excited, even though were are two adults, we're children at heart. What kind of party are you doing, this sounds exciting!. I think we're planning to go to MNSSHP on September 29th. I figured the crowds would be a little less on a Tuesday.

Yes, we are. It will be our first time doing a party at Disney as well. I assume you are going also? Have you ever been before?

Hello all! I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend, and enjoyed the sun, or food, or family, or all three! I thought I'd throw some ideas out there.

I want to make this trip extra special for DF and I. I know he's going to make it special for me, so I want to do some fun things for him too. I was thinking about having something delivered to our room, like a gift or something. And ideas?

Also, I think we're going to have some professional photos taken by the photopass people at The Grand Floridian. Thoughts? Ideas? Has anyone done this before?

Hi! My name is Carla and I was just reading about your trip. We will be going just before you, and my friend and her family will be staying at Pop. <y sister loves that resort, but we have never stayed there. I am going to visit it this time thought to get a piece of tie dyed cheese cake. It's the only place you can get it. :thumbsup2

If you are looking for something special to do for him, you can order a cake to celebrate being back at Disney, or hopefully your official engagement. They need a 24/48 our notice. :lovestruc I wish you the very best of luck!!

Awesome!! Thanks so much. Have a great time!!

Sorry, I meant a party like MNSSHP, MVMCP, etc. I think the date we were thinking of was Oct. 2nd. It was during the week also. I was hoping this would mean for less crowds as well.

Geeze oh petes!

Way to go forgetting about your own PTR!
Well, we are much closer to our trip now, and now is as good of a time as any to update,or continue, or start! Sheesh!

Well, in my own defense, things have been a bit busy. I run a rabbit sanctuary. Right now I have five precious little bunnies who take a lot of time and energy but are soooo worth it! So anyway, I'm back on the radar now, if anyone's still out there. More to come soon!

Bunny Love!

Hello all!

I just thought I'd pass the time by showing off a few of our hoppity family members.

First is Imogen, he's our first bunny we ever had.

Next, Ariel (Oh look, a disney name, wonder how that happened) She's as sweet as pie!

Third we have baby Fluffylump. We thought long and hard on this and decided to give her a traditional bunny name. That's how we got fluffylump.

We have two more, which we adopted when their families got tired of caring for them. Which we cannot understand. We think bunnies are about the best pet around! They're quiet, easy to care for, loving, and adorable. Plus they don't bark at 3 am when they hear a raccoon on the porch. If anyone is considering getting a bunny and needs more info, let me know. I'd be more than happy to provide any answers or help!

I'm laid up in bed right now with a nasty case of bronchitis, so forgive the constant updates. :rotfl2:

They are all so cute!

I had a pet bunny as a child, but now I just enjoy watching the wild (and not so wild) ones outside.

OT- Do you think we will ever have summer this year?

Thanks! We love 'em!

And no, we will not have summer. Soon the snow will start up again and we will be shoveling our drives.

But, yay for Michigan! I haven't found many Michigan people here, and have tried desperately to form a MI group for a DIS meet or something!

Signing on late. I am excited to hear all about your trip. We are going 9-20 to 9-26. Also going to MNSSHP. We have tickets for 9-25 a friday:worried: I saw everyone's comments about going during the week to hope for less crowds. That never crossed my mind:sad2:. I was thinking it's our last night there so we can stay out late and not have to worry about getting up and rushing in the morning. I hope that does not backfire! Anyway I cant wait to hear of all you plans. Hope you feel better soon
