Hi all! I haven’t posted a trip report in a few years. Its time again. The past 2 years have been crazy with the loss of our first child and the birth of our new son this May. Therefore no trip reports until now! I am so excited to do this. Finally we are going as a family. It’s always been the 2 of us the past few years and now we have a 5 month old son we get to introduce to Walt Disney World.
Here are the cast members:
Me- Daniella (37)
DH-Phil(40)
DS-Evan (5 months)

This was somewhat of a last minute trip. I am now a SAHM but work from home as a Disney Vacation Specialist. I am so looking forward to this. This will be my DS first Halloween, what a great place to spend it! I have all kinds of fun goodies to make including decorating his stroller to match his costume. More on that later.

Location: Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge- Kidani
Room: 1 Bedroom Villa
When: October 30-Nov 4
Dining: Still deciding on Dining plan
Transportation: Driving from PA
Stroller: Baby Jogger Citi Mini

When I made the reservation in Sept the only thing available was Saratoga Springs. We really wanted the Boardwalk because it’s the perfect place to be with a baby and a stroller. You can walk to many different places. Because of Food and Wine everything is booked so we waitlisted for both Boardwalk and Animal Kingdom. Saratoga Springs is nice but prefer the others first. Luckily we did get Animal Kingdom loge Kidani but we are still hoping for Boardwalk which would be even better.

We decided to drive down this time. I am not sure what to expect with a 5 month old but we enjoyed it the last time we drove. We are hoping to stop somewhere in SC or GA overnight then head to Disney the next day and stop at some BBQ joints along the way. Anyone know of any good stops?

As for dining we are still debating. I have a few reservations planned, a mix of breakfast and dinners. I think we will end up with the basic dining plan versus the TIW card which we can get since we just bought annual passes. With a baby I don’t know how many sit down dinners we want to do. Plus we will be eating around the world at the Food and Wine. The Basic covers what I already have reservations for.

Our ADRs:
Garden Grill
Crystal Palace- Breakfast
Ohana-Dinner ( do you believe I was able to score t his at the last minute, unbelievable!)
Boma- Breakfast
Cape May Café-Dinner

Normally we will eat at a Signature restaurant because we do like to dine but this time since we have our son I don’t think it’s a great idea. So we are skipping it.

That’s all I have for now, I hope you stop by often! Thanks for reading!
