Anticipation is definitely the cruelest emotion known to man.

In 6 days, Aaron and I are leaving for a much-needed vacation to DisneyWorld. I literally can't wait. The anticipation is killing me. I would much rather be disappointed than suffer this horrible anticipation. At least with disappointment, there is a finality to the situation.:hourglass

Of course, the good news is, at the end of my anticipatorial purgatory I am rewarded with a stay in the Happiest Place on Earth. Until then, however, I have been consumed with spending every free minute looking up information on where to go and what to see at all places inside The World :surfweb: and prodding people I know who recently visited with what their favorite thing was.

I'm most excited that last week I actually managed to finagle a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Palace. :dancer: Truth be told, I think I managed to get it because I told the sweet reservation lady that we were going there for my birthday :bday: and I didn't care if it was for breakfast, lunch or dinner and whatever time she could find. Aaron is dying to be called "Lord Aaron" by the Disney cast members and I can't wait to have an excuse to wear the tiara I found at an antique store. It's just not as fun wearing it at home watching TV every night instead of out in public somewhere. The people at Burger King think I'm a lunatic when I go in there with it on.princess:

We found out yesterday that at MGM (I think. Maybe it was Epcot. Or Downtown Disney...), there is a store where you can build your own light saber. He's jumping around the livingroom right now thinking about it.

I'm also excited about possibly running into a not-so-total stranger at The World. I met Kerri through the Dis forums and she and her twin girls will be there at the same time. They shouldn't be too hard to spot, should they? It would be so cool to run into them!!:flower3: :flower3:

So, how do I deal with this anticipation until April 22? I guess I will have to continue passing the time dreaming of magical moments, unexpected surprises, gorgeous, man-made landscapes, faux palaces, costumed characters and acting like a child again - if only for a few days.

...will blog tomorrow to pass the time!

p.s. does anyone know if I should make reservations for Marrakesh in Morroco?

We haven't been to Marrakesh before, but DH is really wanting to. If you are wanting to go, make reservations. However, I don't think it would be too hard to get into if you just walk-up.

I think my family will be doing a day trip while you are there. (we live in Tampa.:thumbsup2 ) I will be looking for you. Two really happy people, one with a tiara and one with a light saber, got it! Don't forget to get your green mickey head paint samples from Home Depot!

Wow! It's like you already know us!! 5 days to go! I did end up making reservations for Marakesh for April 24th at 6:30 p.m. Here's another question: Does anyone know if the Pop Century has coffee makers in the room? I work at Starbucks and want to be able to take my own coffee if they do. I'm kind of a coffee snob now. Also, do they have free internet access in the rooms at the budget hotels?

I'm not sure about the internet, but ASMu had a coffee pot, so Pop should, too. :surfweb:
Only a couple more days. It'll be here before you know it!

3 more days to go!!

I badgered Aaron until he finally called Pop Century to confirm our reservations. Why didn't I just do it myself, you ask? Well, silly readers, we're going for my birthday and he was supposed to casually mention that in case they wanted to leave any Disney Birthday Surprises in our room for us. I couldn't call and do that myself, could I? That would just be selfish!

Anyway, good thing he called because apparantly the travel agent forgot to tell Pop Century that we were going to be staying there! They didn't have us in their system! :confused3 So, after an hour on the phone between Mickey Mouse CM and Goofy Travel Agent, they finally got it straightened out. The good news is, they must have felt kind of bad because we managed to score a king-size bed in the land of Disney Doubles!:yay:

And, NO, there is not a coffee pot in the Pop Century rooms, but there is a hair dryer and internet access. Look for up to date blogs and pix when we get there!:flower3:

We will be there the 21st through the 27th. WooHoo! Maybe we will walk right past you and not even know it! What a strange thought!

I'm going to Home Depot tomorrow to get the Alien Green paint sample cards. Did you get yours? I'll be looking for them. Where are you staying, Cafeole? We'll be at Pop Century. BTW, you're not from Louisiana, too are you?

We didn't get any, but Home Depot is on the way to the airport. Maybe we will stop and pick some up. LOL. My DH would get a laugh out of that! We are close to Louisiana. Arkansas! We will be staying at AKL.

I thought you were probably from the South based on your screen name! We have friends staying at AKL. They leave today, too! Hope to see you there!
