I work in a public school Pre-School and we are doing a digital photo and music presentation at the end of the year . Does anyone have any ideas for songs that could be set up to go along with our photos. We are doing this as our end of the year graduation for the kids and their parents. Any ideas ??? Thanks !:thumbsup2

I used "Getting to Know You" James Taylors' version on Disneys "For our Children " CD

and also "child of mine" by Carole King on the same cd

How about "Sing" by the Carpenters? Most of the kids will recognize it from Sesame Street.

Michelle

Rainbow Connection by Kenny Loggins (not the Kermit version)

The Power of a Moment by Chris Rice (I think you can youtube this one to hear the lyrics. "What am I gonna be when I grow up, how am I gonna make my mark in history...". He is a christian rock singer but I still think the song is great.

You'll be in my heart by Phil Collins (Disney)

I like That's What Friends are For! More than likely parents will tear up with this one.

Upside Down by Jack Johnson. Great song about kids exploring, learning, and growing,

Lyrics......

Who's to say
What's impossible
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread its wings
There's no stopping curiosity

I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found
I'll share this love I find with everyone
We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs
I don't want this feeling to go away

Who's to say
I can't do everything
Well I can try
And as I roll along I begin to find
Things aren't always just what they seem

I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found
I'll share this love I find with everyone
We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs
This world keeps spinning and there's no time to waste
Well it all keeps spinning spinning round and round and

Upside down
Who's to say what's impossible and can't be found
I don't want this feeling to go away

Please don't go away
Please don't go away
Please don't go away
Is this how it's supposed to be
Is this how it's supposed to be

Time of your Life by Green Day. they used this for a video when ds was in K. What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong is always good, as well as Somewhere over the Rainbow by Israel K...oh, I don't know how to spell it. You'll easily find it.

Billy Dean's "Let Them Be Little."

Also, if your classes have a favorite song that they sing during calendar time or during music often, include that.

I just created a slideshow for my son's kindergarten class, and used Jack Johnson's We Are Going to be Friends.

Fall is here, hear the yell
Back to school, ring the bell
Brand new shoes, walking blues
Climb the fence, books and pens
I can tell that we're gonna be friends
I can tell that we're gonna be friends

Walk with me Suzy Lee
Through the park and by the tree
We will rest upon the ground
And look at all the bugs we've found
Then Safely walk to school without a sound
Then Safely walk to school without a sound

Here we are no one else
We walk to school all by ourselves
There's dirt on our uniforms
From chasing all the ants and worms
We clean up and now it's time to learn
We clean up and now it's time to learn

Numbers letters learn to spell
Nouns and books and show and tell
Play time we will throw the ball
Then Back to class through the hall
Teacher marks our height against the wall
Teacher marks our height against the wall
And we don't notice any time pass
Cause We don't notice anything
We sit side by side in every class
Teacher thinks that I sound funny
But she likes the way you sing

Tonight I'll dream while I’m in bed
when silly thoughts run through my head
bout the bugs and alphabet
And when I wake tomorrow I'll bet
That you and I will walk together again
Cause I can tell that we are gonna be friends
Cause I can tell that we are gonna be friends

That's what DS's kindergarten teacher used on his last year. I sat down to watch it one day, and within a few seconds of that song, I had to turn it off, as we had to be somewhere in just a few minutes. I looked at DH and said, "Nope, can't do that right now." I already had tears streaming down my face!

DD's KG teacher had them sing "You Lift Me Up" and it played on the photo presentation as well. He was an awesome teacher. He won the Disney Hand Teacher Award the year before she was in his class.

"On My Way" by Phil Collins from the movie "Brother Bear".

For my dd's preschool graduation, they used "Forever Young" and the Phil Collins song from Tarzan..is it called......."You'll be in my heart" ?? They both worked very well.

Let Them Be Little by Billy Dean

I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand.
You felt so good in it; no bigger than a minute.
How it amazes me you're changin' with every blink.
Faster than a flower blooms, they grow up all too soon.

So let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give 'em hope, give them praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let 'em sleep in the middle,
Oh, but let them be little.

I never felt so much in one little tender touch.
I live for those kisses, your prayers an' your wishes.
An' now you're teachin' me how only a child can see.
Tonight, while we're on our knees, all I ask is:

Please, let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give them hope, give them praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let 'em sleep in the middle,
Oh, but let them be little.

The so innocent, precious soul:
You turn around, an' it's time to let them go.

So let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give them hope, give 'em praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let them sleep in the middle,
Oh, but let them be little.

Let them be little.

ETA- These are the Days by the Indigo Girls

My daughter's teacher played this one in her slideshow. I think everyone lost it. What a lovely song.
