I have an 8:05 for be our guest and park opening is now 8:00....is it still possible to get to walk through fantasyland ahead of the crowd?

I know we won't get a jump on riding the rides but was hoping for a leisurely walk to the restaurant since if we checked in 15 min early that would be before rope drop.

Probably not. Because your ADR is after park opening, they will probably not let you go in earlier. I think they still have the opening show at the castle so the rope will be there. When we had a PPO BOG, the roper droppers were let in about 10 minutes before official park open. We were let on Mine Train about 8:45 and noticed the crowds coming toward the ride after the first ride.

Your PPO has lost its benefits now. Unless you really want to eat at BOG, cancel and use that first hour for touring. I had 2 PPO BOG breakfasts booked for this trip and cancelled them both after they changed the hours. While I do like their breakfasts, I like early morning touring way more!

Agree 100% with 22Tink, if you really want BOG, rope drop MK and hit the rides and get a later ADR at BOG. We rope dropped on a 9am MK opening day and arrived at around 8:30am (which is late for us) and enjoyed riding several rides with no waits at all. We even rode 7DMT twice in a row with no wait. I had my heart set on BOG so I could only get a 10:20am breakfast.

Thanks, I'd move it to lunch if there were anytime available but alas no table even for just 2 of us

I don't know how far out you are but we got a 10:20am two weeks before and since i had an alert set up, I got several more texts about available reservations. Good luck!

You’ve got some time yet. Try signing up for the Touring Plans free reservation finder. It helped me get my BOG dinner and ‘Ohana dinner.

Like others have said I would try touring plans adr finder. We have had decent luck with it. I was able to get an ohana dinner about 20 days out.

This is encouraging to hear. We were unable to get lunch at BOG so I took 10:15 breakfast (early May). We plan to be in the park between 8:15 and 8:30 and hit Tomorrowland first hoping to ride Buzz a couple of times and SM before our 10:15 ADR. What I can't decide is if I should schedule our first FP for SM so I'm sure we ride it before breakfast then 2 FP after breakfast. The plus is it gets us to our 4th FP earlier but the minus is will I be wasting a FP if there is no line at SM in the first hour??

Also... can you wait on the bridge to Tomorrowland? Is that where the rope is? It has been almost 4 years since we've been to WDW so lots of changes.

Yes, you can. Our last MK visit was Aug 2017, when we arrived we rope dropped Fantasy land so we were held up at the bridge by the HUB. Tomorrowland and the others were the same. Me, DH, and 2 DD ending up splitting up at rope drop. DH and DD did Fantasyland and we hit SM, we got in line while the sign said it was 15 min, it was barely 10 min. When we got off SM, it was still only a 20 min wait. I know everyday can be different but I would stick to the no FP+ before 11am rule otherwise I think it's a waste. Have fun!!

When we go the park opens at 9 and I have a space FP at 9:05. We probably won’t go there first but I want to be able to ride space in the morning. Our latest FP will be 7dmt at 12:30 and then we are free to get new ones.

We've arrived on EMH days around 7:30 or 7:45am, I don't know about getting in at 6:45am, I'm sure someone can speak to that who's been recently. But an early breakfast ADR on an EMH day is a waste anyway.

On a 9:00 opening they let everyone in at 7:45, so for an 8:00 ( not emh) opening won't they let folks in at 6:45?

No. They'll let everyone in at the same time....7:45-ish. They're not going to let people in over an hour before the park opens or ADR's begin.

But this is a regular 8am opening, not an emh opening. For a regular 9am opening they let everyone in an hour early, so why not on a morning that it opens at 8am?

You mean that for a 9 am regular opening, everyone is allowed in at 8 am??? Sorry if I'm confused, I just never knew or witnessed getting in an hour before opening, but we haven't been in 2 years, so maybe it's changed. Sometimes Ive lucked out and gotten in a half hour early and heard later it was because of the capacity crowd.
