Can someone explain to me how this works? I was able to get BOG 8:15 res on a day in Nov when the park opens. How do we get in to the park? Will it really be empty? How early can we check in at the gate and how late can we be for the 8:15 if we stop to take a few photos? BOG is pretty deep in the park in my opinion. Are any rides open before the park opens?

The parks actually open before the scheduled opening. You can walk around but none of the rides or shops open till the actual scheduled time. You need to be at your ADR basically at the time stated, especially since you will be the first seating, you won't have to wait for a table. If you're going a day MK Morning EMH are scheduled, some rides will begin operation at 8:00AM, if not rides open at 9:00AM.

So anyone can come in at 8:00? If the park opens at 9:00? Sorry for the questions we have gone to Disney before but only got to the park at opening for HS one day for Jedi training, and we got there around 8:30 and they didn't open the very front gates until 8:45/8:50.

If the park hasn't opened for it's pre-opening yet, there will be a special line for people with ADRs. You can check in beginning at 7:45 I believe.

Yes, now Disney opens Main Street an hour before park official opening to reduce crowds at front entrance and no surprise Main St is open to take your money.

You will check in with a CM in HUB to get past ropes up to BOG.

EMM and EMH can impact you as well in terms of bodies or early entry on 7DMT after you eat. Since there will be many there when you arrive I would be there by 7:30 and look for a special line for PPO dining (our experience is it's on the left), they may let you in ahead of the other guests ... and you could get a few pictures on your way.

There is a new opening procedure at MK. Gone are the days of a "nearly" empty Main Street for castle pics. Main Street all the way to the castle opens up to everyone at 8AM now. It will be packed. You will be able to go through an entrance to the left of the castle to make your ADR. Be on time.

We had an 8:00 AM PPO reservation at BOG last week. We arrived around 7:30 AM and checked in at the farthest left turnstile (there was a CM holding a breakfast reservations sign). We received a map showing us where to check in once inside the park (once you get in, they basically just look to see that you have the map, we didn't have to physically stop to check in again).

We were let in around 7:50 AM before the normal day guests. There was still a chance for a quick empty Main Street picture as long as you were close to the front of the breakfast line. We were at the front of the line and power walked to BOG. We were the first guests so we got to dine with Lumiere (figurine) and got a "No Strings Attached" Fastpass for any ride in any park. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence, but it was an awesome start to our day pixiedust:

Also, many of the Main Street shops ARE open at 8 now.

This only applies at Magic Kingdom.

Can anyone confirm if the old procedure is still valid where if you have a ppo BOG reservation that you can still get I at 8am? So for instance ppo at 845. Well I be able to get to BOG at 8am still and eat immediately

As of now, yes. This is always subject to change at no notice.

it's possible it may not be a PPO by the time the date gets here. Last November I had a BOG PPO ADR made so we could hopefully ride 7DMT and PP after we ate. Disney changed the park hours a few weeks out and the ADR was no long PPO. be sure to keep an eye on changes to park hours for November, especially minute changes.
