Pre-paid things w/ Gift cards?

I'm striking out as I try to search the boards for this. Is there a way to end up paying for Cinderella's Royal Table and/or the Pre-fireworks dessert party with a gift card? I know they take the CC info to reserve them (I just would rather free up the cash and use my gift cards, of which I have a lot).

For both of those things, my experience has been that they charge your CC the day that you reserve them. There is no GC option for payment when booking online. I recall that I was able to reserve a dessert party once with a GC when I called. You do chance losing out on the reservation if the lines are busy though. For me, it wasn't worth it.

I'm curious if maybe once you're there if they'll let you switch it to a giftcard. I just booked CRT for April 6 and I'll report back if successful.
