Pre-paid meals and Tables in Wonderland

I am looking at booking CRT for breakfast in October. I am an AP card holder, but I don't have a Tables in Wonderland card. The plan is to pick it up during the October trip. How does the card work with pre-paid meals? Do they give me a credit back when we get to the meal? Would it go back on the card I used to pay for the meal?

Not exactly sure what you mean by "prepaid meals". Are you on the Disney Dining Plan and going to use TIW for any extras not included on the plan?

I think the OP is referring to the CC Deposit required for CRT.

OP. The card is just used to hold your reservation. You can pay with whatever payment method you choose.

You would present your TIW card when you pay for your meal and they would deduct the 20% but add 18% gratuity.

Nope, they charge you for the meal at CRT when you make your ADR. I've heard and read that they give back the difference after the meal in the form of a gift card.

We just had this happen last week. We have the TIW card and it was charged to my CC when I booked it 90 days prior. When the server brought the bill he said the credit for hte difference would go back on my card. We had bought a special dessert so they said the difference between the dessert and my credit would be refunded back to my credit card. Hope this helps!
