Does anyone know if you can buy either Disney dollars or the gift cards (where you pre-pay an amount, then can use it for food, souvernirs etc) in the UK? Or would I just be better buying US dollars? Its a gift for my DNephs who are going without me-AGAIN :sad2:

personally i would just give them cash so that they can spend it on whatever they want, whether inside disney or elsewhere on their vacation.

My kids received cash $ to spend on their WDW holiday from one of their grandparents one year and my son spent it on earphones (those sound negating ones) that he found in orlando airport (on the way home - he hadn't spent the money up to that point - he was going to bring it back home and either save it or spend it here).

Well I actually wanted to use it to book them a couple of character meals and pre-pay for them-if I give them the cash they will just head straight for Virgin at DTD and buy the latest computer games, which they could do here anyway.

11 and 8, I figure this is probably the last time they'll want to do a character meal, and they were sooooo jealous that I did CP last year. I also wanted to book them in at the Sci-Fi cos I know they'd love that.No matter, I'll just give my sis the dollars with strict instructions they are for aforementioned meals....

Hobbes, you can get a card for WDW with a preloaded amount of dollars on it. I will have a look to see if I can find some info for you but they introduced this within the last 12 months, so unless they have got rid of it already I expect you can still purchase these :thumbsup2

Thanks Miffy-I'm guessing UK Disney stores won't carry them. I know, maybe I should go out there first just so I could buy them a card-its what any doting Aunt would do :teeth: :rolleyes1
