I am still leary about the trials offers and using my credit cards or debit cards.

While at Rite Aid this morning, I noticed they had pre-paid Master cards that you could load with any amount you want. I think I may go back and get one loaded with maybe fifty bucks. Don't you think it would be a much more 'risk free' way of signing up for the trial offers.

Any thoughts?

If that would work it would be great! Let us know if you try that and it works. Maybe one of the reward site folks can tell us if that would work.

I'm going to do the same thing. I remember reading on the treasure trooper boards that a pre paid card works for some offers but not all. Hopefully it will work for the majority of them. I'm getting paranoid about giving out my credit card number now with all the problems but I want to earn the extra money for disney!

I'm going out with my daughter today so I will pick one up. I plan on hitting the sites hard this weekend, so I will let everyone know how it works!

I bought one at christmas and it had a fee, then after 6 months if it's not all used there is a fee.

Go to americanexpress.com and they have the cards, you would be able to get your name on it. Just a thought

I have actually had pretty good luck with a prepaid credit card - especially the smaller $1 offers. There are some offers that it doesn't work for. For example, I could not get it to work for any of the Scholastic offers. But I always try the prepaid card first and have had good luck. The one I was using was a Discover card- it was through our account and has DH's name on it (not sure if that matters or not).

You can also use the prepaid ones for online shopping at most places. You can contact your credit card issuer and see if they offer prepaid cards, or purchase them at various stores.

HTH

I would check with a site that would give you a virtual one like webcertificates.com or something because some sites ask for the name of the cardholder and address and stuff and I'm not sure if a prepaid one at walgreens would work because it wouldn't be associated with a person you know. It might be considered more of a gift card than a cc.

I know some cashduck-ers really like the virtual Simon one-I think b/c you can c&p the info.
