The test-packing thread inspired me to share what I did on our last trip. I took my digital and took pictures of all the clothes I might possibly want. (Picture here picture there... did this over a week or so) and also DDs and DHs (me choosing at this point).
Then I arranged them and printed them out 8-10 outfits on a page by person. After DHs was printed he was able to subtract and add to it and then I re-did his. (See, he is not interested in packing until the day before, so this way I got him involved!)
When it came time to actually pack it was easier then having a list:
* white t-shirt with tigger
* brown shorts with the cuff
The pictures were just so much easier, especially when packing DHs things.
Or in this case, him packing mine. (He was a SAHD at the time and I was working out of the house.)
