pre-ordering dvds....

What is the likelihood (and your experience) of receiving a pre-ordered dvd on the dvd's actual release date?

When I pre-order from Amazon, I always get the movie on the release date. The last movie I ordered actually came the day before it's release date! It's really great, and so much easier than having to go out to the store to get it.

I think it all depends. On what I'm not sure. I've done this a few times from Barnes and Noble and it seems to range from getting it the day before the release date to a couple days after. I've heard good things about Amazon though, but have never preordered from them myself.

Either on or before the release date..and not with the special shipping..I never pay for more than just the regular shipping charge
