pre-order my mickey ears?

I'd like to pre-order our mickey ears and have them in our room already when we check-in as a surprise for the kids. Hoping for an extra special magical moment right from the start! Is this possible??? Who could I call to arrange?

Unfortunately Disney wont put anything in your room until after you check in.
My sister and her family went last year and celebrated their anniversary while they were there. I wanted to have a basket put in their room for them and couldn't. It had to be delivered after they checked in.

It is possible to have them waiting at the front desk when you arrive. You can pick them up then or have them delivered to your room after your check in.

Yeah also I guess it made a difference because Kate hadn't requested it, it was a gift from Disney.

Perhaps the fact that they are celebrities and it is good PR for Disney helps.

We are buying some ears and then having the kids named sewed in back. Then when we check in the hotel , the kids and i will explore the grounds while DH puts the hats on thier beds. We are also putting cameras and misc. MM things. Then DH will meet up with us and we will all go to the room. There they will discover the presents from mickey!

Unfortuately, Disney will not do this for you. The Disney Florist will and so will a couple of private companies, but you would have to pay a charge for the service of shopping and delivery.

Call the concierge desk of your hotel. They cater to the wishes and needs of guests.

I also got this same idea from watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 (I love that show!) If you noticed, their friends arrived at Disney before they did, so they might have had something to do with the mouse ears being there for them.

This will be our first trip to Disney so this is what we decided to do - we are going to send each of our kids a gift basket, signed "from Mickey" of course. Each basket will have personalized mouse ears, autograph book & pen, stuffed animal, etc..... things that I would be buying at the parks anyway.

One site that I really liked was www.memoriesbybetsy.com - she will shop for the items for you (personalized mouse ears included), and she only charges what Disney charges for the items. She does charge a $25 delivery fee for the basket, and $10 for each additional basket ...... you can also mail her anything else that you would like to incorporate into the basket (which is what I love about her site - I haven't found any other sights that are willing to let you send extra items to add). To me, that is a reasonable delivery fee. I know alot of people make their own baskets and mail them ahead of time as well. Seems like shipping the baskets would be about the same as the delivery fee though.

If the basket is already there when we check in - we plan to ask them if they can "deliver" it to the room in just a bit since it a surprise for the kids.

If you don't want to do baskets for everyone, then maybe just one "family basket" with personalized mouse ears for everyone in the family. It would be worth the delivery fee to surprise everyone.

I'm doing a similar thing for my brother in 2 weeks. I went out and bought a bunch of Disney stuff. When we get there, my grandma is going to take my brother and look around the hotel quickly and I'm gonna run and put the basket on his bed.

My mother went through one of the Disney florists and had my ears already with my name on them waiting for me at CM's the first day of my trip. They were part of a little kit with the autograph book and some snacks. It was one of the most magical moments of the trip when I got back from the bathroom to find the ears I had been dreaming about for 20 years sitting at my place at the table. I was so excited to have my ears for my first real Disney moments! Micky made a big deal when he saw they were part of a basket! The basket came with a huge pink bow as well! A special touch was that my name was written in the "Disney" writing not the single stitch cursive you see in the parks. People were stopping me all week asking me where I got my name done.

Vacation Planning Services takes care of it...I just talked to them for our DL trip in August. I would think WDW has the same department.
