Pre Onsite Hotel

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel in the WDW area that is not too expensive for 2 nights? It's just DH and I. Would like something very clean, comfy bed and free morning breakfast would be awesome! We will have a car and plan to pick up some groceries before checking into our studio.

I just cancelled our free dining package at the Pop to rent DVC points to stay in a studio at OKW. The studio is not available the first two nights so we have been kicked off site

Not too expensive is relative but here are my go to one/two night before vacation hotels with the lowest rates we have paid at that property.

Embassy Suites SOUTH Lake Buena Vista $110 free breakfast and evening reception
Hilton Lake Buena Vista $70 plus resort fee of $24 I think
Doubletree Suites Disney Springs $89
Hilton Bonnet Creek $119 Plus $25 resort
Waldorf $149 plus $30 resort

We have not had any problems at any of these. Hilton LBV is the most dated but we are Hilton Diamond and have always been upgraded to a 1 or 2br suite so they have frankly earned my loyalty with that alone. For a family of 4 a suite with 2 bathrooms and breakfast in their limited version of a lounge for around 100 is great.

As for breakfast I am really not sure other than the Embassy. Again, as Diamond we are generally provided breakfast at most properties. Waldorf is the exception and they have a really excellent breakfast we are willing to pay for.

If you can live without free breakfast, Red Lion on Irlo Bronson is close and well priced (about $70 last time we stayed) for clean, updated rooms and a friendly staff. There's a Bob Evans and Perkins across the street where you can get a quality breakfast for under $20 for both. It's also close to a back entrance to WDW property (best for getting to AK).
