I just wanted to share that my husband and I had went into Ashley Furniture yesterday to inquire about a few things as well as pick out furniture because we're remodeling our house. I found a Black Friday ad online that said 60% off the entire store plus free delivery and we were going to go then.

Before we got up super early to go Friday, we decided to pick what we wanted yesterday to avoid delays. I also wanted to inquire about my credit card I have associated with them and how long delivery would be (was hoping before Christmas). Sure enough they could find my credit card without actually having it and all would be delivered before Christmas.

Anyway, I told the gal that we'd be back on Friday at 7 AM and she laughed and said she wouldn't be there until quarter 'til 9 as will everyone else. I said, well what about all the deals? She had no idea what I was talking about and I showed her the ad. She showed her manager who also had no idea. He said he'll honor it. Right then and there!

They asked for no additional proof whatsoever. Sure their stuff is a bit overpriced and you can't use it with the Manager's Specials but I still got a chaise sofa, love seat, dining room table and 6 chairs for just over $1,400 with 0% interest for a year! Just thought I'd share if anyone was looking for furniture.

We have had two sets of furniture from Ashley and I will never buy from them again. They wouldn't honor the extended warranty that we bought on either living room set. The cushions on the first set basically completely flattened out (in a year's time) it was like sitting on the springs. They came out and looked at it and said "that's normal" and wouldn't do anything about it. Our second set, we again got the extended warranty as we bought a leather set. The leather started to peel and break off - we called about it - they don't cover that. But if someone came in and took a knife and cut it - they "may" fix it. I was tempted to try and do that and call them...but my luck they wouldn't cover it as it "was at service man's discretion if it's "normal wear and tear". So we got rid of that set (after 4 years) and now went to another retailer. I know a few other people who won't shop at Ashley again. They have overpriced, low quality furniture (at least upholstered furniture, not sure of tables), although our 3 way bulb lamps we bought from them lasted about 2 years before the switch broke on both lamps.....

That's awful :( We still have our furniture from almost 3 years ago. We are moving the living room furniture to another room in the house because it doesn't match with our new renovation. Otherwise it's in great condition. We will be selling our dining room table which is in perfect condition that has been through a lot with two toddlers! The only thing we're keeping from the original purchase are my kids' beds and dresser/nightstand. They're in impecable condition. The only thing I wish we could do is turn them into bunkbeds now that they're older but I couldn't really get a clear answer yesterday on if that is possible.

Sorry that you've gone through all of that! I guess the quality is different for every piece :confused3

Ashley is low quality and the company practices are questionable. When our furniture from there bit the dust after a few years (seriously, furniture should last more than three years!!) we went with La Z Boy and we were so much happier with the quality and service. Ashley is the Walmart of furniture.

Wow to all of the replies! I guess we've had really good luck with our furniture from them. And I thought we were really rough on ours with 2 young boys and a dog!

Hopefully our luck continues...
