So where is everyone eating? We normally have a car but are flying this time. We normally stay for 8+ days and this time just 3 nights so this trip seems so odd to me already.
Just trying to see where everyone else is carb loading
The WISH meet is Friday at about 4:30pm at POP Century food court. Team mates meet and greet and put names with faces. Towards the end we all go outside and take a group photo - that takes a bit of time with all the cameras clicking away.
Then a lot of the people will stay and get something at the food court and eat together. All resorts and restaurants will be offering some sort of a pasta meal the night before all the races. Last year they had a nice pasta with marianara and you could add chicken to it. Was pretty good.
Both of my half years I have done Wolfgang Pucks. I always stay at POP so if I were going this year I would probably get something small there and try to talk someone with a car into going to Cafe d'Antonio in Celebration. The food is very good and priced well. The best Italian dinner I have ever had in FL which, to be honest, isn't exactly the highest of standards.
I would have to agree with Tracy. I have eaten at the Pop food court the last 4 years on Friday night before the Half as part of the Goofy. Nice, simple, and cheap food that sits well with my stomach.

I have to say that the chat helps calm my nerves!! To see so many so willing to SCREAM and support - as well as those that are out there 'just like me' really helped my nerves -
and I cant think of anywhere else I can get the "boost" to my nerves!!
Last year we stayed at All Star Music. On Friday night we ate at the food court. Pasta & chicken were on the menu. It sounds a lot like the menu at Pop. Also, we bought the pre race breakfast box they had for sale. It had a banana, breakfast bar & a water in it. It was just right for me before the start of the race.
Gotta put my 2 cents in for Chefs of France during the early day--escargot & the chicken crepe---mmmm. They have lots of pasta dishes too, then a quick PB&J & banana about 2 hours pre-race!
