I am at Cleveland Clinic, waiting for mom to get her lab work done and then to see her dr. here for a check-up. Pray that things go well!

UPDATE:
I guess I'll begin with telling you that last October Mom was participating in a reserch drug program at Cleveland Clinic. The drug was Rivamid. She was to take the drug, followed by chemo. She was to have 4-5 rounds of Rivamid and chemo. Well, she had her 1st chemo treatment on a Wed. By Saturday (3 days later) she called me because she was having chest pains. I raced over there and called the paramedics. I've told her from now on not to call me first, call the paramedics! Anyway she ended up in the hospital with an very high and irregular heartbeat. They shocked her heart and that brought it down but not for long. Then they put her on medication to try to lower her heart beat and it went way too low. We were left with the option of a pace maker, which she received. We felt if this was the way she reacted to one round of Rivamid and chemo it wasn't worth it so she withdrew from the program at Cleveland Clinic. After the pace maker was put in, she got phneumonia and ended up going to a rehab center after leaving the hospital.
Today they did lab work on her at Cleveland Clinic and the doctor there was pleased. He said her protein levels had decreased by 60-70% as a result of just that one round of Rivamid and chemo! He feels if she could have completed all rounds she might be in remission now. We just didn't want to chance more rounds after her reaction to the first one.
So, the doctor says she's good for another 4 months!
Thanks for all your prayers and good thoughts!
