Prayers & PD for my Mom (aged 76+) ** (UPDATE) **

My dear Mom had her gall bladder removed last week.

She was sent home from the hospital & had to be rushed back due to complications tonight.

We need wisdom for the MD's for the rest of the corrective surgery (bile duct still had stones in it?).

Strength & health for the family members who will be around her in the hospital.

And a GOOD discharge plan when she gets home.

My dear siblings are exhausted! My dh & I spent the day w/ her today & it wore me out. My cracked rib is still healing but it's nothing compared to what my Mom has been through.

We are now home w/ our 2 dd's (4 & 21 months).

We will go back tomorrow night if she is sent home from the hospital.

UPDATE:
My Mom was readmitted to the hospital late last night. Please pray that this final surgery to clear her bile duct can be done very soon. It's been put off for over 5 days due to machine malfunction, no bed @ the other hospital issues, etc.

It's very exhausting for my brother Charlie who spent last night w/ her in 2 different ER's.

My prayers are with your mom and your family.

My mother broke her ankle and is in a cast. I feel so pulled between 2 households here before Christmas. I asked her tonight to please move in with us and she said she will think about it. My father is deceased. My mother is 68 and very independent. She thinks if she moves in with me she will miss all of her church friends and neighbors that are coming to visit.

You are going through something much worse with your mom being in the hospital and having small children. When my mom was in the ER alot of people were wearing surgical masks because of the flu.

We will be driving to So MD early Christmas morning. We'll eat breakfast, let our dd's open their presents, pick 2 to take w/ us & get the car packed.

HOPEFULLY the surgeon was able to get some PT, OT & an RN set up for the 26th to help get my Mom back on her feet.

You don't realize how much someone means to you until something like this happens.

I want her to bug me about my red highlights BUT I'm not sure that she will even notice

I will be off line until this Sun. & I will post an update then.

My dear Mom looks so much better! She is up & about & had 9 of her g'kids over along with 6 of her 8 kids!

I know she will be sleeping quite a bit tomorrow!

It's so wonderful to see someone who was gravely ill just 1 week ago become more like herself after the additional surgery!
