I am hopeful that 2004 will be a better year for us (since everything since 2001 has been pretty stinky -- except for a week this December when we went to WDW and I stumbled across a Dis meet and ended up meeting some of the coolest people around!).
As some of you may know, when we returned from WDW (all good things must come to an end), we had to "fire" our adoption attorney (major long story, PM or email if you want to know) which was very emotional (even though it was for the best). We have been researching some agencies and I think we found one that will work well for us. I have submitted my preliminary application (we already have the home study completed) and although I don't know how we're going to afford this (can anyone truly "afford" a child? You know what? Even if I have to pay some of it off over time, having a child will be more than worth it), I am hopeful that in 2004 we will FINALLY be blessed with a child.
Am also hopeful that with the economy turning around (or so I hear) that DH will finally find employment. Again, it's not just $ issue, but an issue of self worth. He's the best guy in all the world, and I so want him to feel better about himself and the situation.
And lastly, I am hoping that 2004 will be good to all of you here at the Dis. I've been lucky enough to meet some of you face to face. Some of you I've just PMed or Emailed. But you all are so wonderfully friendly and supportive. Isn't it amazing what joy and love a website can bring us?
