Prayers Needed

I just found out that my ex-husband and his girlfriend's 7 year old son was discovered in a car in critical condition. No one knows what kind of accident he was in and neglect by mom (whom he lives with) has been ruled out. This is the half brother of my DD15 and she is a mess. I don't know how to help her. I am calling her counselor but I am soliciting prayers. Prayers for the boy, his parents, and my daughter.

Thank you all for your replies and I have shared them with my dd. there is no change as of this morning. Still no brain activity. I have scheduled a counseling appointment for my daughter. I hope it doesn't come to this but my gut tells me I need to prepare dd.

Thank you for the update. I am so sorry for the condition he is. Did they ever figure out what happened to him? I think it is great that you are getting early help for your DD. Continued prayers. Miracles happen every day. I pray one happens for him. God bless.

Thank you all again. Around noon I found out that he passed away. My dd is beyond upset.. She is guilty she didn't spend more time with him. She is confused as to what happened. The local news still states he's in critical condition so I'm guessing we won't know anything for a while. May he rest in peace

I am so, so sorry. I hope your DD can let go of the guilt quickly. I lost one of my brothers to diabetes 3 years ago. He died unexpectedly in his sleep. I spent awhile thinking of all the the "should have" "could have" moments, but realized that I was blessed to have the time I had with him and that became the focus to get me through. Best of luck to all of you. I will pray for your DD to get through this.
