Prayers needed and you got them!!!! My dad had a heart attack at the age of 49 while vacationing at the Grand Canyon. He had to have emergency bypass surgery. 12 years later and he is doing great!!! I hope the same for your dad. {{{HUGS}}}

UPDATE

thank you so very much for all of the prayers and hugs...they were felt...

he's doing better today. we drove up to ft wayne to him last night and went immediately to the hospital. by the time we had gotten there, his EKG had dramatically improved. he was still in pain but he was ok.

they're going to do a heart catheter (sp?) monday morning. he should have had this done a long time ago...we've already called in to work for monday so that we can be there for my mom and for my dad.

i just talked to my sister, who flew in from kansas city last night, and i guess dad's had an "episode". we went to see him today but he wouldn't wake up. so we left him a note along with a little something cheery for his room and left him to rest. i guess my mom and sister went back up a few hours later and he was still sleeping. they tried to wake him...the nurses tried...he was unresponsive. they shook him and he still wouldn't wake. so they took him down for a CAT scan...while he was having the scan done, i guess he came to and shot straight up in the tunnel thing. (i don't know the correct terminology)he freaked out...and had no memory of what had happened. he remembered mom and cindy, but when he was asked the year, he said it was 1979. he kept apologizing to my mom and kept saying how he doesn't want to leave her...he's freaked out by this whole thing.

please continue to keep my dad and family in your thoughts and prayers. he's had a few scares over the years...but this one was the real deal.
