Prayers needed please for my dad *Update on pg. 2

I just got a call from my dads girlfriend that he is in the hospital. They think he had a heart attack. He is 57 years old. I don't know much only he was rushed to the emergency room and now they are keeping him over night. Not sure if it was a mild heart attack. He was having chest pains for a few days apparently and finally today it was too much to bear, and he also had shoulder pain and numbness in his arm. I am so upset and mad that he didn't go to the Dr 3 days ago when the pain started. I am over an hour away from him and I feel helpless. He said he doesn't want me and my sisters to go there and he doesn't want us to worry. Well, we can't help it, we are his daughters and we are so upset and worried for him. The hospital he is in stinks, his girlfriend is the only one there for him, and BTW, she knew this was going on, him being rushed to the hospital this morning and didn't call me until 45 mins ago! They are running tests and I just don't know anything. This is so frustrating! Please if you could send prayers or good vibes my way I would really appreciate it!

I'd like to ask you not to be mad at the girlfriend for not calling sooner. Maybe dad told her not to call until they knew something more definate... :confused3

Maybe they didn't want you to worry until he was out of danger.... :confused3

My DH was run over in Nov 99. A guy threatend to kill his ex-girlfriend and DH was there taking the report when the guy came back. He aimed his car for the girlfriend, DH pushed her out of the way and he & his partner were both hit. To make a long story short, DH was off work 3 months, his partner was off over a year. When I was taking DH home from the hospital at 5 that morning, he told me 'DO NOT CALL MY MOTHER, SHE DOESN'T NEED TO BE WORRYING ABOUT THIS." He was adament about it.
I waited until he was home, tucked in, doped up on pain pills, then I took the phone outside and called his parents.
They were greatfull that I called....regardless of how much time went by. They know how hard-headed he is.. :rolleyes1
