My father died unexpectedly almost 14 years ago. An old family friend is probably the closest thing I have to a dad right now. Our families grew up doing everything together. We even took vacations together. And their son played with me growing up. Bill and his dear wife were always my parent's best friends.
I just heard today that Bill had aneurism. He is in the hospital and has had 2 surgeries. He has survivied this far, so that says something about his strength of spirit. I'm awaiting more information. What we have heard so far is very sketchy and disjointed.
My mom may head to Kansas City to be with Ann later today. Ann is staying at the hospital, and probably needs my mom's support. I sort of hate for my mom to start driving alone, when she is upset, but there is no way I can go. My DH is out of town until Wednesday and I have the kids here at home.
I am very sad. I asked myself what I could do at this point. Prayer was the only thing I could think of. So I thought I'd ask my friends on the CB to join me if they feel so moved. I believe in the power of prayer. So think good thoughts and help me pray for this wonderful friend if you would. Thank you.
