SO PLEASE KEEP THE VICTIMS IN YOUR PRAYERS AND TO THE TWO THAT DIED YOU BE IN OUR PRAYERS TONIGHT.

I know this is not the right time since they still don't know all the facts but please if you see something say something again not saying someone saw it ahead of time.

I've been watching the local coverage of this for a couple of hours. What a nightmare. Prayers for them and the injured. I wouldn't be surprised if the death toll climbs.

Such a sad, tragic, senseless event. Why in the world would anyone want to inflict this much tragedy/pain on people!

Prayers to all involved.

Just heard an 8 yr old among the dead.. This is such a sad and tragic event. Prayers go out to the families.

Living in Plymouth, and having gone to school on Boston's Boyleston Street and having worked in that same area, this hits very close to home. However, I'm heartened that the forces that did this have seriously underestimated the courage and will of the people who live here.

Today was a holiday in MA, Patriots Day. Its a day that commemorates what is considered the opening shots of the American Revolution when patriots battled with the British at Concord and Lexington in 1775. That same spirit that created this great nation will not be broken by such a senseless act. It can only be strengthened by this incident.

Lets all get together and give everybody a big :grouphug:

Okw lover hanging in their stay strong we are all standing with you guys in Massachusetts hoping they will find out who did this quickly and they can hold them to the full weight of the justice system.

Hope all our fellow DISers who were nearby are all right. Anyways, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this horrific event. I posted the following on the community board and I thought I could just do my best offer some comfort, but I'm afraid I'll only be able to scratch the surface of comfort. Hopefully, this helps at the least.

My thoughts and prayers are with every soul affected by this horrible tragedy.

Oddly enough, marathons are joyous occasions, times for people to celebrate but not just celebrate a particular accomplishment but life in general and the accomplishments that fill it. Crossing the physical or even figurative finish line after any long journey is beyond rewarding, it's an extraordinary moment that not only offers a sigh of relief but also a feeling, a "high" as some have called it, of self-accomplishment and sensational satisfaction. Now, for all the men and women who traveled all distances from many lands seeking this unbelievable feeling, this feeling has not only been stolen from them but also replaced with senses of worry, concern, and depression.

Beyond these runners, we all, each and every one of us, have similar feels: holes in our hearts that yearn to be filled. We have a desire to aid in any way whether it be simply saying an extra prayer as we go to bed tonight or offering our homes, our hospitality, our food, and our support to those who have been shocked by these nefarious events. In the end, we must all go on, though it might not feel like that now, but we are left with a subtle absence inside of us, and we are left wondering what to do to fill it. There is no answer for that, as that absence lingers absorbing its surroundings but struggling to release anything, like a black hole in the midst of space. For now, all the advice I can offer is to hug your loved ones a bit harder tonight and remember that life is beautiful and no day should ever be wasted.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this nightmare. I can't understand how such evil can be part of what should have been such a joyous conclusion of hard work. Sending lots of thoughts and prayers and pixie dust to Boston and the running community and to hurting hearts around the world. :grouphug:

What a sad event....it was the first thing I saw when I turned on the TV last night after work......I immediately picked up the phone and called a friend that lives near there....she and her family are safe...

My prayers go out to everyone...

Today many of us in the Disney running community are wearing one of our run Disney tech shirts and medal to show solidarity for Bostonians - our prayers go out to them and we stand by to help however we can.
Thank you for starting this thread.

I wore my yellow 2013 Disney 1/2 marathon shirt today! My son wore his kids races shirt!

It sad to announce the death toll is now at three and 180 plus people with injuries so please keep them all in your prayers.
