Update: 8/31
Jacob's mom posted. His tumor marker numbers have gone down! Doctors say it is a miracle. They are trying another round of chemo to see what happens. Keep praying!
I posted this on the community board, but thought I would post it here as well. I hope that this is okay.
One of the msn boards I am on follows and helps out children with cancer.
A little boy, Jacob, was diagnosed in February 2004 with a rare form of adrenal cancer (he was 3 at the time). Since then he has endured many rounds of chemo and several lung surgeries. He seems to make headway, then relapses. Yesterday his parents received devastating news--there is nothing more that the doctors can do for Jacob as his cancer has progressed too far. They were told he only has a few days left and that they should contact their families.
Now for the sad part, as if the above wasn't sad enough, Jacob is a triplet and has an older brother. I can't imagine what the boys are going through right now.
Please keep this family in your prayers. Pray that they find the strength they need to make it through the next few days, for Jacob's brothers and grandparents, and for Jacob to be pain free and pass peacefully surrounded by those who love him.
