My dad has been suffering with a mass in his throat since at least October. He had colon cancer when he was 34 so he doesn't play around when something is causing him discomfort and concern. He had his second biopsy a week ago and it's sqamous cell carcinoma of the throat. It's invasive and moderately to poorly defined. He had a PET scan and another ct scan today. They think it's in his lymph nodes too. He starts radiation in a couple weeks. He'll have 35 treatments. We believe that he'll have chemo too.
I'm sad, confused as to why he has to deal with this and scared. I want my son, who's 3, to have a grandpa because I lost mine when I was 3. My papa died of a heart attack the night we arrived home from Disney World.
I thank God that my parents were able to come with us to WDW in Dec. But my dad ending having bronchitis and going to the Er while there. He was so sick.
Please pray for him. He is so worried about finances because he is a self employed contractor. But I wish he could just focus on his health. We don't know what we would do without him.
He told me the other day that he wants to go to Epcot and really explore the countries which he did not get to do in dec. because of the bronchitis. I pray that I get to take him.
