Thank you all so much for extra prayers. The last few days have been hard. I will be tring a store brand pain relief cream a little later today. It sounds perfect for my needs.

I don't know if anyone has noticed that I haven't been on the Disboards during the last month or so. I'm in need of prayers - I spent a week in the hospital around Valentine's Day. Apparently I had 4 strokes and the doctors found a hole in my heart. Currently I am on 4 different medications and had so many different tests - the absolute worse was the spinal tap , with doctors coming in and out of my room every 1-2 hours. I am a true conundrum -they cannot figure out why it happened in the first place . I am not allowed to drive since I cannot see past 80% out of the corner of my left eye. I'm also dealing with some short-term memory issues. What a way to end my 25-year teaching gig.... Thank goodness I banked 150 sick days! I also have to wear a heart monitor for one month to check for a-fib....

Kim, very sorry to hear you're going through all of this. Your medical folks will keep working to find the cause, and they will. Prayers, along with best wishes for you, Kim. You'll be enjoying those very well-deserved retirement years in no time. 's

I am sorry for this recent post and will pray for your medical issue.
Have they mentioned preparing for heart transplant ?
I don’t know anything but I would ask if I should start preparing …no smoking drinking , etc. Very strict requirements to be aware of…

I just recently fell and it has made me realize it is time to prepare and want to work on all those To Dolists especially organizing and getting rid of all the stuff that is cute. My mother had Alzheimer’s and I do worry Now that I am almost 75 , the year her issues started to surface.
Only thing to keep, are family photos and very favorite books, favorite holiday DVDs , etc. I have an old Pillsbury Cookbook with my favorite handwritten recipes inside the covers to keep too . My husband worked for that company and received that as a yearly gift. He passed within one week with sudden heart attack.
So I am very concerned and sending my very best get well wishes .

I will be keeping you in my prayers. So sorry to hear of your medical issues. The ones that no one can see what is causing them and the worst. My husband was had that issue once. It's the not knowing that makes it hard to handle.

They are hesitant to close the hole because [due to immune issues stemming from the covid shots] it has affected my white blood cells and don't want to chance the possibility of infection. On the positive side, my platelets have been holding steady although I haven't been on Promacta for 4 weeks now.

I will add you to my daily prayers. It's so frustrating to go through this, as I had stroke symptoms about 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting on 2 doctor appointments. I know God is in control and I have total faith in Him. I will pray that He will heal you in all areas that are affected in your body.
