Prayer and pixie dust requests--Updated May 2

I have an unspoken prayer for the moment for a close family member. A diagnosis came in yesterday for a long time issue that seems to finally be getting some answers after seeing many, many Drs. of all varieties. I appreciate any prayers that you can lift up to Him for this person. Once we have details and she doesn't mind me sharing the info. I will let you know. For now, I appreciate any prayers that are sent up.
For sure, JT. Prayers do help for sure.'s

Update:
Finally have news to share

Our prayer concern has been for our DD Kristian

She has been dealing with a hacking cough for years now, and no Dr. has seemed to find what's really going on until now. The cough is a symptom and not a cause issue. The bigger issue is vasculitis. Her team of Drs. seem to think it was caused by a infection earlier in life. They even caught something from a previous CT scan that they couldn't believe was not detected prior to this time by any other Drs.

It's manageable, but not treatable. She will begin infusions in a few weeks, which will be every 3 mos. If she reacts well to those, they will increase the dosage. If it goes into remission, they will back up to every 6 most checkup.

Her team said she came to them early enough that they can hope to stop any further damage. Left unmanaged, it can lead to organ failure

She has 3 children and DH who love her deeply as we her parents do. And we only want the best for her.

We appreciate the continued prayers!

Prayers indeed JimmyTammy with a hug. PM me if you would enjoy some happy mail. I would be glad to send you a postcard :)

I would appreciate additional health prayers for my beloved dad. Prayers for me to fully get back to normal by Christmas and just in general of course would mean a lot, too. Long road of feet issues. Thank you all so much.

Well, that sounds like a good update, jimmytammy. Finally the doctors have what they think is the cause and are able to start treating it for your daughter. Prayers that the treatments work well, bring relief and are able continue to even better results.

For sure, Mona. My best, with prayers, for both your dad and you. Hope your dad has improved health and that you and your feet are dancing away in the not too distant future, certainly by Christmas.

Praying for you Mona for your restored health and for your feet to feel better. And prayers for your Dads health to improve.
I appreciate your prayers for our DD!

Dan, thank you as well for the prayers! And Dan, I'm not sure you remember us from way back, but we met many years ago at BW. My wife was doing a half marathon and you guys had a DIS meet just outside the Boardwalk Bakery. Maybe 2006ish.

We can feel the Good Lord working in her life, and knowing folks are praying for us is all the better:grouphug:

I do recall that, JT. I think there was maybe 5 or 6 of us there on the BW walk, overlooking Crescent Lake. We were at a small, standup table. Were you there outside with us, or inside the BW. I recall a few others that would have been there. @SideshowBob, @Tuffcookie, maybe @mum4jenn. If my old memory serves me right. Great times, fun times.

My DW was sitting at a table with you or very nearby and I had our kids standing up around the area

Friends, please keep me in your thoughts. I've been sick for a little while now (started in mid-Aug). I'm currently experiencing some chest pain and discomfort. Friday, my blood pressure was 170/111 (and that's not the first time it hit that mark or higher). And yet a abdominal CT scan hasn't given us any answers. It was already pretty scary - and since I got the kids down, I've been feeling very flush. I usually run around 97 - so I'm good for the moment (it's at 98.8) but I honestly don't want to go to sleep in case something happens.
Hi everyone. I know I've posted here and in other threads/ones I've created. I finally have some information and I wanted to share it here because this is a community for me. Quick version (esp for folks who don't know): Since 8/12/23, I've been sick of some sort. Coughing up blood was the first big pain. Pain in my back, flank, abdomen, etc. REALLY bad edema. And increasingly bad blood pressure that seemed resistant to meds.

Last weekend, I wasn't feeling well (by which I mean - things are terrible/it's not just a cough) and my BP was hitting 190/114, 180/120, etc. So I went in. The ER took it seriously, especially when I was giving them the same BP numbers. Another shortened story: the ER doctor wondered about a particular health issue that mimicked my symtoms, a very rare tumor (Pheochromocytoma). He wanted to test for it and actually admit me to the hispital but becacuse the test would take 4-5 days to get back, the hospital said no (but I could've stayed if it were 1-2 days). Anyway, I was told to come back if my numbers hit that high again (or even a little less). Monday (after Saturday night), that happened.

The results are in and I haven't spoken to anyone yet about next steps - but I do, in fact, have this tumor (adrenal gland). Unclear right now if it's cancerous and/or if it's spread. But my fatigue has been so bad lately and I feel like such a bad dad to my kids. Today was rough - I needed to sleep/rest. And I've been throwing up. BP is still high but not quite as high (weirdly, it's like 150/90, etc - like the systolic is way low compared to usual).

But pray for me, or whatever you do. I'm scared - really, really scared. And also slightly relieved that there is a THING to which I can point.

:grouphug:Many prayers, BSMcNeil. I'm so sorry you are still going through so much. PM me please if you would enjoy a Christmas postcard.

I would appreciate extra health and recovery prayers for my beloved dad and myself. Thank you, friends.

Good morning, @bsmcneil.'s Well, seems like the medical folks have figured out what is making you so ill feeling at times. Big improvement with just that, knowledge of the issue. Prays and best wishes that the medical folks will be able to do what is necessary in bringing you back to full health. Blessings.'s

Merry Christmas everyone:grouphug:

Prayers of extra peace to all this holy to me day. I could use some added prayers. I have been inflicting pain on myself by not using my walker properly. I will be reaching out again to my pt and sure hope she can come by for a few minutes even sooner than later. I am not someone to complain especially today. I need to heal! Thank you, friends.

Good morning, Mona. And a very Merry and Blessed Christmas wish for you and dad. And everyone.

Hoping, with prayer, that you get things straightened out with your walker. Sometimes it can be difficult.'s
