Prayer and pixie dust requests--Updated May 2

I just found out yesterday that I have a tumor in my right ovary. The doctors have suggested to remove completely the right ovary and tube. Not sure if it is cancerous or not until they do a biopsy after surgery. The tumor has made my ovary slightly enlarged by 2cm.

Please pray with me as I struggle with taking these decisions and what is forthcoming.

My prayers are with you... my the Lord direct your path and take the worry from you... let Him do the worrying.

I know this is kind of early, but I'll be leaving July 8th to see a neurosurgeon about my pituitary tumor. I am hoping that they will approve surgery. It's been a very long road for me. I've been sick for several years now. We just found out about the tumor in March. The longer I go with it, the sicker I'm becoming. I'm very scared even though I really try hard not to show it. Surgery is the only option of returning to a "normal" life for me. Over the next few weeks I will be trying to organize all my records and I have to figure out how to tell my current doctor that he's not the one for me even though he's supposed to be one of the top in the nation for my type of tumor. I need strength and courage to travel across the nation alone to face this and to get through the next few weeks.

I don't know if anyone from the northern Chicago area posted this request already and I'm not sure where to look. I need everyone who cares enough to send prayers please do so for a friend of mine.

I just found out yesterday that my friend's daughter, Grace, who is not even two years old has leukemia. My friend has retired and sold her medical practice (she's my niece's Pediatrician) in order to be with her daughter. What make this even more heartbreaking is that Grace has Down's Syndrome which will make treating her leukemia all the more challenging.

Any thoughts and prayers sent to Grace and her parent's way will be most appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Praying for all here, & need prayers for DH.

6/14 DH decided that his back had been hurting & he would lie in bed all weekend to make it better. made it MUCH worse & we were in ER by 8pm.

Has been on percoset, morphine, soma & had 1 steroid injection for a herniated disc at L4-L5 area. Could not walk, sit, stand, lay any way except flat on his back until about 2 days after the injection. And he reduced the pills & has another injection scheduled for Tuesday.

So, bright one decided yesterday that he would try stretching exercises he found on the internet. He is now back to Day 1.

What makes this worse is that we have had a cruise/FL trip scheduled for over a year & DD & I are scheduled to leave on 7/14 for FL, then DH & DS18 arrive on 7/24, Cruise from 7/27 - 8/3 & fly home on 8/4.

Yesterday all was 'on' as he could even drive & go to work, today, it is off again.

I'm frustrated, depressed, angry, worried, over all of it. Yes, we can cancel the cruise for medical reasons (thank God that I took out the insurance), but, all the other stuff is at least partially non-refundable, plus, with the economy the way it is, we likely won't be able to take another vacation for a long time, especially w/ 1 in college & 1 in HS.

Please pray for his healing and that all works out!

To top it off, we're taking the cruise with my DSis & her DH. They live in FL, but have never cruised because she is claustrophobic & wanted to go the first time with us as we will be somewhat of a consolation/diversion as we've gone before & she will have someone other than her DH to deal with. And they can't cancel & get anything back as we booked separately. So, if she decided she couldn't go alone, they would be out a good amount of money which they really can't afford right now.

Such a pain! Literally and Figuratively!

please pray for my dear mom. she has a very rare form of cancer and the chemo didn't work and the cancer continues to grow. we are trying to keep her pain-free by adjusting the medications - which most of them come with so very many side-effects. this cancer is very painful, so finding the correct balance is paramount. i love her so very much. she is a very special person. any and all prayers will be greatly appreciated. thank you so very much.

DD16 received a strong electrical shock Tuesday night about 9:30 when the Phase 2 power into the Dairy Queen she works at shorted out, then blew. She was the only employee touching a machine the nanosecond it hit. She did not get burned, nor lose consciousness, but is in extreme pain in her arms and is having constant muscle spasms. EKGs in ER on Tues night and in DR yesterday as OK. Very weak, takes both hands to open a door knob, lots of pain. She's on 1000mg of tylenol & 800 mg ibuprofen every 8 hrs, 2mg valium every 6 hours & then tomorrow if not improved we add oxycodone every 8 hours.

To make matters worse, my DH has been home for 3 weeks with a herniated disc. He decided yesterday that I would get more rest if he went to his sisters for the weekend so I didn't have to worry about my 2.5 lb dog walking on him & causing him pain in the night.

I'm living on 2 - 4 hours sleep a night as I also have to take my DS18 to/from work at 4a.m. & 8 a.m. & take care of everything else.

And, to top it off, DD and I are supposed to leave on 7/14 for FL via amtrak to see my DSis before DH & DD18 join us for a cruise on 7/27.

I'm frazzled beyond belief & very worried about DD.

I absolutely love this post. THank you Kermit for bringing the power of prayer to the forfront. I will be praying for all those in need. If your loved one is in pain believe in His Power, He will deliver them from it. I would also like to remind everyone to please remember those children from the polygamist sect in Texas. They were found to be sexually abused ,but based on a decision form the Supreme Court they were returned to their original homes where the predators still remain. What kind of justice is that? PLease, please dont forget these precious children. I believe our prayers will create a hedge of protection over them so that they may no longer be violated.

DH seems to be improving and is weaning himself off the meds.

DD,however, after going to work on Monday night for 6 hours, made it to work last night for under 2 hours & came home crying in excruciating pain. DH pain I can handle, DD I can't!

Praying hard that there's major improvement when she wakes up today. I hesitate to give her the narcotic pain killers, and she thought she was improving, so had backed off on the others.

In my mind I could leave DH behind on this trip if I had to(although it was originally planned as his 50th birthday), but DD I can't. I made an appt for her for tomorrow, but will likely try to see if I can get her in today instead.

Even my DSil in Iowa who is a pediatrician told me the pain will take time to go away, but last night was very extreme.

Thanks for the continued prayers. Hope all is well. Praying for all here as well!

Many of your have probably read of little Caylee Anthony of Orlando. She was reported missing a week and a half ago and has been missing since June 9th.

If you would, please pray for this family. Especially this little angel. I won't go into the details, you can read them on the Orlando newspaper and tv channels.

Pray that Caylee will be found alive. If you have any info, call the Orange County Sheriff's office.

I have read back quite a few pages.

I have not been here very long, but during that time I have come to realize more than ever how much people need each others support and well wishes.
People usually seek each other and God more when they are hurting. Which, honestly, is what brought me here tonight...I have a serious personal issue and would love to have the support and prayers of others.

I prayed tonight for everyone here. God is certainly a wonderful God and loves each one of us. I know that with only a mustard seed of faith our prayers will be answered.
