Hey guys! So my 6 months until I can apply for Spring 2012 starts today! whoo! haha

And so to kill the time, do you know of any like practice web interviews out there? I've failed the web interview once before, and i'm SO scared that I'm going to fail again. I've done research so I feel more prepared, but I'm still so nervous!

So I thought I would try to practice or something hahaa. Do you know of any? They don't have to necessarily be Disney but just something similar..

Almost every retail job has a web interview just like Disney's but I don't know of any that give you immediate results :(

I have a question about the Web Interview. I've heard some things about it but I'm still kind of in the dark as to what it includes. Is it just a questionnaire with strongly agree/strongly disagree? Or are there some questions that are formatted differently? What are some of the topics, besides "I like working in groups"? I'm very prepared for the phone interview but I feel like I need more information about this one. Thanks!

It's all just things like that "do you like to get to places early" "would you come to work in a bad mood" "Would you get into employee conflicts?"
and you just do the strongly agree, strongly disagree, neutral and agree or disagree thing. That's basically all it is.

Okay, thanks! I don't understand how people manage to fail things like this? Like it really doesn't seem that hard, as long as you answer true to you. Am I just freaking myself out over this whole web interview? Seems like from your response that it really isn't a big deal of a thing?

It's just super nerve racking because something as impersonal as the Web Based Interview can make or break you. What I did was I read the questions aloud (sounds dumb), but it helped me not get tripped up. When I say get tripped up Disney does ask you the same question twice just rephrasing it, like "Are you on time?" "Are you often late?" from what I have read its those types of questions which people get tripped up on...I believe, I could be completely wrong. Each question varies from 50-20 seconds, but honestly even 20 seconds is a long time! Just answer honestly, answer as if it was your best day at work, and you were already working for Disney.

In all honesty the freaking out gets worse as you move on through the application process. I am passed my phone interview and on day 12 of the waiting game...I am going insane!

For the most part, the web interview focuses heavily on your work ethic and how you relate to people. Most of the questions are in the format of either "on a scale of 1 to 5" and "agree/disagree."

Some questions are formatted a little differently, though. In one section, each question comes with a list of possible responses to choose from. For example, what would you do for a little kid who's hurt and won't stop crying? Almost all of the questions are more general than situational, though.

Sorry that I'm kind of invading this thread... but I was wondering how long each of the application steps takes? Like the e-presentation, the application itself, and the web interview, individually. I just want to make sure I budget enough time for each.

Also, do you complete the web interview immediately after you do the application?

An hour should be more than enough time, it depends on how quickly you read though I guess. The web interview IS immediately after though. It doesn't start automatically they just leave you a link that takes you to it.

What you could do is have a friend that doesn't want to do the program sign up for it. but you take the actual web interview instead of them.

You really have to try to fail Disney's Web Interview. You just have to make yourself sound presentable as always and most of the questions are along that line.

Also don't feel nervous :) The questions may be timed but if you just read them throughly you'll be fine!

^^I disagree. There are some questions that you might feel you can't answer with a yes or no, and you'd like to elaborate on... there weren't a lot, but a few that I put neutral for and I failed it.

I'd go with Erica's suggestion.. just make sure it's a friend who really doesn't intend to do the program anytime soon just in case haha.

Haha! That's a great idea! But what if I end up passing for that friend? Just ignore it and don't schedule a phone interview? haha I really wanna try that now..

Yeah, it doesn't really matter. It's up to you to schedule a phone interview in the 3 days that they give you... if you don't.. no big deal.:confused3

you might be able to take the phone interview as well but just pose as the friend. but when you get the acceptance letter dont respond to it.

Thanks for giving me that idea!!
