We will be at Disney Sept. 7-16 and are considering PPO ADRs at the parks. I’m wondering if it would be better to do rope drop and do Brunch at EPCOT, DHS, and AK instead of PPO especially since we haven’t been there for a few years and want to make sure we get to ride the newer really popular attractions. Would it be better use of our time to RD to hit those rides and sign up for Jedi? Will the wait times build up significantly if we don’t finish breakfast by the time the park opens? We have PPO ADRs for BOG and aren’t concerned about our MK days but am concerned about our plans for the other parks. TIA

I think if you did GG at EP and jump on Soarin' you will come out ahead. I don't think it would be beneficial for AK or HS. I would rope drop those

I think RD is better than PPO except for BOG (which you already have accounted for). But you have to get to the park before rope drop- just like you would if you had a PPO ADR.

My party of 4 had a 8:15 PPO at Garden Grill with the plan to ride Soarin’ at park open. We arrived at 8, rushed through breakfast and made sure to get to soarin ASAP and successfully were among the first to ride. Also among the first to ride were those who arrived at the park at 8:20, waited for rope drop and then walked to Soarin’. The difference is those folks didn’t spend $130 on a rushed meal - If we chose to eat later we could have enjoyed it more or chose to eat somewhere else.

As far as PPO goes, TH and RFC at AK give you no advantage to Pandora. At DHS, eating at H&V gives you very little advantage to anything except potentially Jedi Training signup.

GG and Akershus at Epcot both give advantage (GG to Soarin', and Akershus to Frozen). BOG at MK is an advantage, although less of one on any day with Early Morning Magic or early Extra Magic Hours; the advantage is zero if open time goes to 8AM.
