PPO for BOG and 7DMT before official park opening?

If I have an 8:55 AM PPO, will they let me in with the other early diners, or will they make me wait until closer to that time? Still watching for an earlier time but want to know in case I don't get one.

There is no "ordering something small." It's a prix fixe menu, no matter what you order. You could just eat breakfast there, it's not bad and you still get in early. Just get the earliest ADR, mobile order, and eat fast. You will still be at the front of the crowd.
We get breakfast with our room at shades of green. I'm not interested in a 24 dollar per person breakfast if i don't have to.
My understanding is that you could order a drink or maybe a kids breakfast. We shall see. Doesn't seem to be any requirement to eat to get the reservation.

As long as your reservation is before park opening, you can check-in with a CM outside to confirm your PPO ADR and enter the park at 7:45 with the 8 am reservation folks. Check-in as soon as you get to BOG and they'll let you in regardless of your ADR time. Order online in advance to speed the process once you get inside.

Thanks! I was hoping that was the case. That's been my experience before but I never had one this close to actual park open. Now I just need to hope park open doesn't get changed.

This is exactly what we did last time. We entered the park with the early crowd and took our time making our way to BOG (pictures in front of the castle mostly). It was about 8:20ish or so when we got seated and we were finishing up around 8:50 (which was our ADR time). We had just enough time to get in one ride on 7DMTR before the rope drop crowd arrived.

I hope this procedure is still around when i go in February 2019. This is one of my strategies. We are going to get our BOG ADR, eat at our hotel (SOG) before we actually get to the park, order something small at BOG and basically buy our way into fantasyland before rope drop to hit 7DMT and PP early without using FP.

You might be better off gong for an EMM. If you're going to write off the breakfast cost at BOG and have breakfast at your hotel, the total cost for EMM might be close enough to justify the added expense. Plus, then you don't have to worry at all about the line or anything like it.

I don't like to spend other people's money, but in this case it might be a wise expenditure. Plus, with the BOG breakfast you always run the risk of early park hours or EMM messing up your plans.

I appreciate the advice. At this point, we are doing a M-F at parks, starting with MK on Monday. Things can always change but between now and October, EMM are on Sundays and Tuesdays only and there is not one day with early park hours for MK on a monday. I don't need to make the ADR for BOG until August, so hopefully we will have a full schedule of park hours or at least an reasonable estimation by that point.

I may be reading this wrong, so bear with me. You are going in October? You can make ADR's 180 days in advance. Is there a reason you are waiting until August to make your ADR? I would make this one right at my 180 day mark. Again, I may have misunderstood your post. :)

No, i was probably unclear. We are going in Feb 2019. ADR start in August for us. Right now, the disney park schedule (including hours, extra magic hours and EMM) is only available between now and October. During that period of time, EMM is only on Sundays and Tuesdays. Further, between now and October, extra magic hours at MK are rarely on Monday and only in evening.
I'm using that as my guide, understanding that it may change between October and our trip in February.

Tuesdays are a pretty good bet for EMM in February. One other thing for you to consider is they might -- might -- be doing Disney After Hours around then. According to the reports we've had, it's a heck of a way to spend some "alone" time at MK.

And, just for the record, as much as I pooh-pooh BOG PPO, I just booked one for July 3. So we'll see how that goes.

Bumping this thread for any recent reports on PPO BOG on a non EMM day and squeezing in a ride on 7DMT...and possibly PPF?

I did it in 2016 but hoping to do it again in June! Considering EMM instead but probably will go with BOG.

Also waiting for more reports here :)

I'd like to know as well. We are going next week and i have Monday Breakfast and Thursday Breakfast booked for the 7DMT thing.

You can order a cupcake and coffee.

We are going in April - 2 adults and 3 kids. We are just going to order 2 kids meals and maybe a cupcake. I am wondering how rider switch will work with riding the Mine Train before opening.

Same here about rider switch...except my case is different. I am pregnant and we have 4 kids ages 9,7,5,3. All want to ride 7DMT. The 2 oldest are fine but the 2 youngest will need an adult. I know sometimes they required the adult to be next to the under 7 kid and not just in the same car. So if that's the case can one kid wait with me and then when DH gets done can he take the one that got left out using a RS pass? They let us do this at Barnstormer a few years ago but no clue what the practice is now.
