We have an 8:05a reservation (we will preorder our food). The park officially opens at 9a right now with no EMM going on in Fantasyland. What can we realistically expect for a wait at 7DMT if we go right there? I keep running Touring Plans and it is telling me a 45 minute wait but that seems excessive if we are there before the crowds are allowed past the castle.

We have a similar time booked and hope to ride 7DMT once or twice before the park opens but I also know that we may not be able to ride at all.

Ours is on a morning where there is a hard ticketed event but I've heard we may still be able to ride so we're keeping the reservation and hoping for the best.

PS - Thanks for asking this question @TinkSassy. Our trip is 4 weeks away but I was able to go in and place our order tonight. One less thing to do closer to our trip.

When I did this, we got seated around 8:20ish (we arrived well before our adr time and had putzed around taking pictures in front of the castle on the way there) and were finished eating by 8:50. We headed straight for 7DMTR and were getting off just as the rope drop crowd arrived.

The walking path to 7DMT is roped off just above the FP entrance to the ride. The PPO crowd lines up there and along the fence surrounding 7DMT. The PPO line may start forming as early as 8:15 to 8:30. When the park opens, they'll let the PPO line make its way to the ride - since they have a substantial headstart over the crowd coming from the Hub, the ride is mostly a walk-on and most are coming off as the Hub crowd gets there. It is possible to get multiple rides in - especially if the PPO line is let in early (which does happen sometimes). I can't recall any PPO guests having more than a 10-15 minute wait (at worst) - much less 45 minutes.

We had an 8:05 ADR late Nov which wrapped up by 8:45. We got ! 3 ! rides in before the hub crowd arrived. The CSRs were very welcoming and were ‘expecting’ us PPO guests

We had an 8:25, arrived at 7:45 and were seated by 8:05. With two young kids, we're not quick eaters by any means, but we were out at 8:40 and on 7DMT by 8:50. We rode three times before the park crowd got there. We definitely could have ridden a time or two more with very little, but were pretty set after three rides.

Looks good to me.

To assist in your plan, arrive by 7:45am to then queue-up at BOG.

Also, make certain Disney does not mess-up your plan by changing Park opening time.

Planning on them doing exactly that - so I will still try for FP to 7DMT and PP in a few weeks, just a a back up. I know if all goes well in the morning I can modify for my back up choices and probably make someone's day that is there!
