So I have a PPO at 8:10 for Be Our Guest on a Tuesday. I just found out that is an EMM day so people that purchase tickets for that can get in at 7:45. I was so excited to get in the park a little early but not so much now. It will be our first time at BOG. Is it worth it to keep this? How busy are the EMM days? Any feedback is appreciated!

There aren't very many people there for EMM. You won't get any rides on the Mine Train before 9:00 because it's reserved for the people who paid for EMM, but you'll be first in line to ride it when the park opens.

You will still be "ahead" of the RD crowd.

We went on an EMM day. We were allowed to go stand in front of the 7DMT ride entrance, but unfortunately the ride went down.

also most days MK opens Main Street area to everyone at 8

We did BOG for PPO when there was EMM. We still got to go on SDMT before the rope drop crowd got there and then we headed to Peter Pan and got on that quickly. Once we got off of that ride the area was packed, so we headed to Dumbo and there was only a 10 minute wait there.

It was still worth it even though it was EMM.

Thanks for all the feedback! I think we will just keep it since those ADR's are so hard to get!

I'm in the same boat. I have an 8:10 am reservation at BOG on an EMM day on a Sunday. My wife isn't an early riser, so I'm trying to determine if it's worth it. It seems like the only advantage is getting 1 ride on 7DMT. I'm leaning towards cancelling it, and making the Mrs happy. But then again, I have trouble letting it go as it's a tough ADR to get.

It is only one ride on SDMT, but it kept us ahead of the crowds for the other rides all morning as well.

@Bella34 The same thing happened to us last month, still very much worth it, practically no one in the park and we were able to get 7DMT, Barnstormer, Dumbo, Teacups done and were second in line for pictures with the Queen of Hearts (who ended up being our favorite of the trip) and minimal wait to meet Merida

Thank you! I was hoping that EMM days were not too busy & we could still get a head start on the crowds before the official rope drop!

Get to BoG as early as possible and pre-order your food through MDE you should be out around the time the castle stage welcome show starts, you should be able to hit 7DMT then whatever else is open with EMM in that area before the horde arrives. I recall someone stating that there were only something like 400 tickets sold for EMM, not sure where that figure came from but it sure felt like it.

Make sure to leave someone at the table with the magic band used to order the food. I was up getting drinks for my party when they tried to deliver my food and it couldn't locate us correctly, we had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes for them to discover the problem and reroute the food.

The Rose Gallery was the least crowded of the rooms on our particular day.

Our BOG PPO day became a EMM day also!

On the plus side, is your BOG PPO day is guaranteed not to become an 8:00 opening! That would really ruin an chance for beating the RD crowd to rides!

Secondly, even on non-EMM 9:00 openings, there have been reports that BOG PPO guests have only gotten on the ride once before the RD crowd got there. Yes, there are reports of 2, and even 3 times, but it seems like you can't count on getting more than one.

So, if you were to change it to a non-EMM morning, you could get an extra SDMT ride, if you're lucky.... or you could get none if the opening is changed to 8!

Thank you for posting this! I was worried about EMM breakfasts too while I was booking our ADR's this am. I got BOG for 8:35am on a Wednesday instead of a Tuesday. Finges crossed it won't be an EMM day, but even if it is, the park will probably be busy the day we're there so every little bit of extra time will help. Even just one ride will make it worth it.

I believe the EMM days are Sunday & Tuesday so you should be good! Our BOG is for 8:10 & I plan to pre-order so hopefully we can get in & out.

Good point! I have decided to keep what we have - 8:10 am for BOG on the EMM day. If we are lucky we can get a ride on SDMT before the rope drop crowd hits. If not, no big deal!

Last September we had a PPO BOG reservation that was on the same day as EMM. I didn't realize it until we got to the park and they asked which we were there for. We had an 8:15 reservation but there was a problem with their computer system and anyone using the dining plan had to write down their magic band number. We didn't get in until 8:45. Our food, which we pre ordered, took a really long time to get to our table. We've eaten at BOG 3 times and it always has taken a super long time to get the food to our table, and we've always pre-ordered. So by the time we got out the PPO reservation didn't make a difference. I guess the point I am trying to make is that if you're goal is to be at the rides at 8:55, you might be disappointed. If you're going to eat at BOG, that's different. We were on free dining last year, but if I was paying out of pocket I'd just pay the extra and do EMM myself instead of BOG.
