i was planning on trying to snag a PPO at BOG for our upcoming early March trip. We already have a FP+ for 7 Dwarfs, but thought if we could ride it first thing we could then switch that FP+. I'm not interested in fighting rope drop crowds so thought this would be a good alternative. However, now there are EMM hours scheduled for our MK morning. Does anyone have experience with this? Particularly since they've changed the Welcome show to the castle now? This is not a must do - we would be just as happy starting in tomorrowland at rope drop as I originally planned, but would love to get other opinions. Thanks!

For 7dmt you won't be let out early to go in that area. So for that ride you'd have to wait until regular opening with everyone else that I believe it at 9am for that area

We have done both a PPO at BOG and EMM. EMM starts at 7:45 and we saw the line for the PPO BOG. They were let in 7DMT at about 8:45 which is when the rope droppers will start coming. When we did the PPO BOG, we went out at 8:35 and got in line at the corner by 7DMT(there is a CM stationed there to let you know when you can get in line at 7DMT). We were let into the line at about 8:45. We rode 7DMT twice before there was a line doing the breakfast. With EMM, we rode 7DMT ten times in a row and then we had enough and went on to the other rides available.

Last trip- we were able to ride 7DMT 2 times before the RD crowds got there.
A few weeks ago- we went to do the same and 7D was down all morning and into the afternoon.
Just be mindful that can happen if you drop your fp for it.
We also had a fp for it and it changed into an anytime fp that we used on 7D when it was back and running.

EMM have exclusive until 9 but you would be in line just ahead of rope drop ........... but as you know rope droppers are no longer at the Train Station but at the Castle now ... minutes away.

We did EMM last week ............. probably never again. 7DMT was down and didn't open until about 8:40. The allowed only us to ride until 9 am and then our MB let us ride as much as we wanted FP+ line until noon. Problem for many is having the morning planned for shorter lines and some pre-booked FP+.

If you plan on getting the breakfast just for the hopes of getting in early for 7DMT, I'd say no.

That is why EMM exists .. to get breakfast AND access to a few rides before the regular crowds.

Because of so many people trying to get breakfast at BOG simply FOR the access to 7DMT .. that is the whole reason EMM was created.

And when we went this week to EMM it was surely successful. We were first in line to go in (I thought since our event started at 7:45 and required the walk back to Fantasyland we would be let in earlier like 7:30. Nope. Let in around 7:50.) and the area behind me, through the MB Scanners and beyond full. At least couple hundred.

Does anyone know what the official limit of EMM is? I've been curious as it seems limited to the capacity of the restaurant and will lose its value the more people they let. Just wondering where that tipping point is where they let too many people in for it to be worth it.

(But then again .. with only three rides made available .. they could let in a ton of people and you would still get multiple rides on each ride if you wanted.

Indeed.

The Disney Husband (DH) Disney Wife (DW), etc still baffles me and doesn't make much sense

I believe that those just evolved to Disney ---- because this is a Disney site but those like DH DW DD DS DMIL DSIS etc have been around a long while on multiple platforms as Dear Husband, Dear Wife, Dear Daughter etc.

If you want to ride things with little wait the Disney after hours might be better

I've heard it's about 200.

It could easily be more than that. The restaurant has lots of seating and every single section was open. Folks ate while 7DMT was broken, we went in right around 9 and there was a steady flow of folks in and out for that hour with I would say half the tables full at all times. I bet they could sell it at 300+ without noticing a difference. Even with 7DMT down, none of the other rides were too busy. Pooh we didn't even have to get off.

It wasn't during an EMM morning but easywdw.com just did two extensive posts about PPO BOG / new park opening strategies. Worth a read.

THanks! I did read his. I think I'm going to keep trying for a BOG breakfast regardlesss and see how it goes. Not giving up my FP+ until when/if we actually ride sevens dwarfs in the morning if it all works out.
