Hey all..... my first post. We are going to DL for our 2 year Anniversary/ Honeymoon. I just wanted to know if you have any information on PPH.pirate:

I stayed there at the end of May. It is nice. I had booked a standard room, which they happily upgraded no charge to a park view, which was great. 13th floor looking out on DCA. Yes this hotel does have a 13th floor, unlike many hotels. The room was a nice size, two queens and a hideaway sofa, with plenty of floor space. The walk to the parks is not bad at all, just cross the street, walk through GCH and either right into DCA or through downtown disney to the DL gates. Housekeeping was great, the rooms were well cleaned and made up every day. They even left chocolate coins on the bed for both my DD and me, and one day they also left balloons, including one of the large mylar minnie balloons, for my daughter. I was pleased and if I can afford it will definately stay there again.

Big bright airy rooms, the lobby hallway smells of suntan lotion (it's pumped in...if you have a car and walk into the building through the sliding glass doors back there you can get hit with the blast of suntan lotion scented air (like on Heimlich's Chew Chew Train when you're blasted with animal cracker scented air), the people are nice. Good place! If you can stand glass elevators (I personally keep my back to the "view"), taking that elevator (stands alone away from the elevators, sort of in the middle of the lobby) up can save some time instead of waiting with the clump of people to go back to rooms. But not all floors have buttons to call it to go back down.

Definitely go out the *front* doors, through the Grand, and on to DL via DTD or DCA via the Grand's entrance for resort guests.

We stayed there last December, and got an unexpected upgrade to a Theme Park View Suite! We loved the hotel~not too crazy, but a bit more sophisticated than, perhaps, DLH. So being on your 2nd anniversary  (assuming you will be w/o kids), this would be a perfect place! I would be sure to add to your reservation that it's your anniversary, because they very may well do something special for you!

We stayed at PPH last November and we enjoyed the stay except for the slow elevators. The elevators take a very long time, other than that, the cut through GCH is a easy to do (and check in gave us a map noting it!).
Have a wonderful time!

Thank you for the information. We do not have kids so it will be a kid free weekend. I am getting so excited for our trip. I am not sure if we put down that it is our Anniversary. I will have to check.
