PPH vs HOJO a few questions

for our trip it is $500 more to book pph double queen with pull out, than HOJO 2 bedroom kids suite.
1. Is it worth a smaller room to stay " on site"?
2. Which walk is closer? We've stayed at HOJO twice in 12 and 13 and didn't mind the walk.
3. Besides EE, what are advantages to staying at PPH vs HOJO?
We will be spending 4 days in the parks with 3 daughters. 10, 7 and 3.

I have only stayed at the pph So can not directly compare the two. Besides EE there are a few other perks, wake up call from characters, princess bedtime story on the tv and probably a few little ones I am not remembering right now. The big thing to me would be how much you would need the space. If when you normally travel you always get suites it may be difficult for everyone in a standard room. I really like feeling like we are in the Disney Bubble and not being anywhere besides the hotel, DTD and the parks, But if you have stayed at the HOJO's before and had no problem with it I can see where it would be hard to justify the extra cost. So really I have been of no help but to say that I had enjoyed my stay at PPH and will be returning in February.

We just went through the exact same decision - although our cost difference was a bit more - it was over 8 nights and since we are from Canada - you have to add almost 50% onto that USD difference.

However, it was not just cost that made us stay at the Hojo in the Kids Suites. We are a family that does not like spending more than 3 or 4 nights in one room with only 2 queen beds. We like the amount of space we get in the kids suites. The kids each get their own bed - and being a 13 year old girl and a 12 year old boy that works well. On top of that we get two bathrooms and two tvs, there is also room to unpack all our clothes and two closets - so it really is a lot of extra room. The walk from the Hojo is not really any longer, it's just different in my opinion as you are walking along Harbour not through DTD and through the GCH. We were tempted by the EE but 3 out of our 5 park days will be 10AM openings, so we figured we can manage and it's not a crazy busy time of year.

However, if we were to ever return to DLR for only 4 nights (since we are flying from Canada we tend to make it at least a week stay) then I can see us staying onsite, not bothering to rent a car and just staying inside the Disney bubble the entire time. For that many nights we'd likely not drive each other all crazy and probably want to max out all our time being out of the room anyway!

I should have said staying 6 nights, taking a day to go to Huntington Beach.

I've stayed at both. I think it comes down to personal preference. To me, it's not worth the extra money to stay onsite. I'd rather spend that money in the parks on souvenirs or food. The walk is about the same, though with PPH you never leave Disney property, so I guess it's more Disney-fied. Otherwise, the pool is nice with the slide, but my 5-year-old prefers the water area at HOJO. To me, EE is really the only advantage unless you're staying in a theme park view room, then you get a gorgeous view when you go back to the room to rest.

I forgot to mention the other feature is the water park since you do have kids that still might enjoy it - our kids were 11 and 10 our last visit and while they enjoyed the garden pool for actual swimming, they still wanted to go over to the water park and act crazy and get splashed with big buckets of water. If you are going to have a car - the parking at HOJO is free so that is another consideration. I do think you have a great problem to sort out though, as you really can't go wrong with either decision!! My only other comment would be if you are going when it's going to be very busy - as that is when EMH might make a big difference as long as you can get your family ready for a 7AM entry into the park!

Alas I don't have my mapped walks on my mobile. But from the sidewalk at hojo vs outside pph it would be close.

When we stay at PPH we have extraordinary upgrade luck so it's hard for me to be fair lol. I also stayed at hojo during the era when you could get it for $99 so I have issues with the expense now.

I don't care about Disney bubbles so that doesn't factor in for me.

Our first big trip we did 4ish nights at hojo then 2 or 3 nights at PPh. Same for this trip; 4 nights at Annabella and we're currently at PPH.
