For those of you who have stayed here, what did you think? How far of a walk to DL? Thanks!

We liked it! We had a theme park view room, we could see Paradise Pier so well from our room. :) the room itself was very large, which was great with 4 adults sharing a room. :) We loved the decor, loved the provided toiletries and we loved the location. The walk was very easy, we crossed to the GCH and cut thru to DTD from there, we didn't follow the signs from the PPH because those route you all the way around to the far end of DTD which is just not necessary. If you cut thru the GCH and follow the signs to DTD you come out about halfway down, much closer. We really enjoyed it there and we would absolutely stay there again if the price was right. :)

My only complaint has always been the elevators. The rooms are large, the Theme park view rooms are very nice.

It's my fave on-site hotel now. Large, bright, cheery rooms, happy lobby, good restaurant downstairs (at least for the things we get). Walk across to the Grand, walk through the Grand to get to the esplanade for DL or through the resort guest entrance to DCA, easy peasy!

We loved it! Like the pp said, the room was large, bright and clean. We splurged and stayed in a concierge room - we really liked the concierge lounge except that the lounge closed earlier in the evening than I would have liked. We are a family of walkers so the walk from PPH to DL or CA was nothing for us.

Thanks everyone. How would you compare the walk to say the motels across the street? Thanks!

Some are closer. I personally don't like to cross Harbor. I also like to have the advantage to use MM as much as possible.

I agree with Goldie, the 3 elevators are very slow! The kids like the slide, and I loved the Pricesses telling the bed time story channel.

Another great thing about PPH is that you can go watch the fireworks from the rooftop. One of the best places to watch them in my opinion, they play the music and you can show up 10 minutes before they start and still grab a good seat.

We were there a couple of weeks ago. Didn't have any issues with the elevators. :confused3

I like using mapmyrun to route things out and get distances.

PPH (from the sidewalk outside the main doors) through the Grand and DTD to the center of the Esplanade is approx .41 mile. Annoyances: Going through DTD is curvy and twisty and can be packed with people, and if you have kids or a spouse with the "I wannas", any time in DTD can be difficult.

The Tropicana (from the sidewalk) across the street to the center of the esplanade is approx .29 mile. Annoyances: It's very straight-forward, but you're dealing with masses of people, cars, and making it across the street before the time runs out.

From the lobby of the Grand to the center of the Esplanade is approx .29 mile.

so do you think that BWPPI is closer to the entrance of DL then it is for PPH using the cut thru route of the Grand?
