it is as good a set of numbers as any as far as chance to win. But it is a bad sequence in that people tend to take sequential sets. So you'll be sharing your win with likely several people. The worst numbers are 1,2,3...x. A ton of people per week take that sequence so even if you win, you'll be sharing the prize with a ton of people. Things that make a pattern on the screen should also be avoided for the same reason.
Because I gave you a useful tip, if you win I get $5 instead of $1.
I was thinking about this. Wouldn't it be a hoot if the winning numbers are indeed 1,2,3,4,and 5 with powerball 6? Then when someone goes to cash in their ticket, they discover they must share the winnings with 8,000 others. A mere $100K, less after taxes.

It would be better to match the 5 numbers
without the power ball. That payout is a guaranteed
DH only plays if the jackpot is over $300 million so he bought a ticket yesterday. I don't know if he got one today or not. I jokingly told him last night to remember that if he hits the jackpot and decides to trade me in for a trophy wife we don't have a prenup so half of it would be mine. He said he figured he would end up with somewhere around $175 million after taxes and giving me half and he figured he would be ok with that.
He went on to say if he won the jackpot he would keep working for the next 10 years. I asked why and he said for health insurance. I know private health insurance policies are expensive but if you won $500 million I think we would be able to pay the premiums. He said $500 million doesn't last forever.
If it doesn't last you the rest of your life you're doing something wrong.
Many past winners have done something wrong. There are all kinds of stories of mega-millions winners going broke after 5 or fewer years.
I bought $2 worth. I had to laugh, seen on the news tonight people were waiting in some areas in line up to 2 hours to get tickets. If I had to wait more than 30 seconds I would pass.
I figured I'd better buy today rather than tomorrow; lines tomorrow will likely be even longer. ShopRite had a line of about 20 people at Customer Service waiting for lottery. Nope. Yet NOBODY was at the vending machine at a Wawa convenience store. True, the vending machine is mostly for scratch off tickets, but there is an option for all the other games as well. Put in $20, hit the $20 button under Powerball option, voila! about 5 seconds later the ticket with 10 series of numbers pops out. You can also pick numbers of your own choosing at the vending machine.
The bottom of my ticket says don't forget to play tonight's Mega Millions with a jackpot of $165 million. Yeah, right.

Can't be bothered for such a trifling amount.
I remember back in spring 1989, the Pennsylvania lottery had a jackpot of about $115 million, by far the largest at the time. There were news stories on TV about people taking the train from NYC or Baltimore or DC to Philly on the day of the drawing and waiting about 3 hours at the newsstand in 30th Street Station.
These days I don't even pay attention unless the jackpot passes the half-billion mark, like it did when nobody won on Wednesday.
